I have added schematic diagrams for the Ignition, the Fuel pump and the immobiliser to my site:

www.bertram-hill.com

Only recognised TVR owners will be able to view the immobiliser circuit

Just what owners need, great work.

Regarding the fuel pump circuit, there's been some discussion on the fuel pump relay requiring the main relay to be in circuit here:

http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

Also, on the early pre-cat Griffiths there's a second additional fuel pump relay mounted on the fuse/relay board in position R8.

Dave,

I noticed the relay marked "Fuel pump" in position 8 on Steve Heaths diagram and assumed that it was there rather than hanging down as on the later cars. Is it an extra relay? I have no way of checking as my car is 1996 and both it and the ECU relay were on the Xmas tree until I moved them to the bulkhead.

Paul, yes the pre-cat Griffith (or the ones I've seen) has two fuel pump relays in circuit, both are needed as well as the main relay. For why, I'm not entirely sure. At one point I thought it was there as part of an ECU and inertia switch sensing function, but there doesn't seem to be any corresponding code in the firmware to allow that. Could be TVR were feeling over cautious in their need for fuel pump control, since the floating foot well part of the wiring is simply part of the off-the-shelf 14CUX Land Rover loom.

Dave,

I wonder if the extra relay could be to buffer the immobiliser relay, some early cars seem to have 3 circuits protected.

I still have an early Meta immobiliser (But a later alarm module) that appears to have three protection circuits but only two the starter solonoid and the ignition are used.

Good call Paul, could well be, early pre-cats had Gemini systems:
