Griff REAR Number Plate Supplier
Discussion
I Know its been said and covered before, but for the benefit of anyone doing a search.....
i just received my rear number plate from Fancy Plates ( www.fancyplates.com ) and its great. Very quick delivery, very helpfull over the telephone and if you use the website properly and open your eyes you can access the TVR rear plate option without calling them first.
Amazingly the TVR Centre Barnet were cheaper but couldn't get the letters spaced in a non-regulation fashion, so fancy plates to the rescue (they also added a very good TVR Logo).
Also need to add it came with mounting screws and covers (black and yellow) and sticky pads in with the cost.

I recently used fancyplates for a couple of perfectly normal, standard number plates and the ultra nick picking MOT inspector said that the car should, in theory, fail its MOT (although he very generously let it pass, just this once....)
The reason was that the plate did not display a british standard BS Code!
It seems that since 2001 or 2002, all plates must display the suppliers name, the postcode and a British Standard BS code. Fortunately, I knew about the supplier bit and included that along the bottom in the border.

I believe it is:"all suppliers of plates must include the suppliers name, the postcode and a British Standard BS code."
I think it is one of those odd laws where it is not illegal to "display" incorrect plates, just to "supply" them.
