I recognise that place but cant put my finger on it,Remeber the Wooden House with open Garage next to them. I worked on some Elecy Wires near that property and I think that was a Griffith under a cover...no one about to ask though. Is it near Hartford Marina? Or around Godmanchester/St.Ives.

its the new Millside Marina complex adjacent to the Buckden marina leisure club
proabably was this Griff you saw as it was under a cover quite recently! (see here - http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a... you might recognise the positioning)
i've seen it about before and spoken to the owner a few times too, 'tis a nice example!

Thanks for the complimentsmile.I still think it's difficult to better what TVR fitted in wheel designs, but tyre choice is a priority for me.I chose them as they dont look to fussy or bling to me,and i wanted to keep it simple to compliment the griff lines. The sizes are 18"x9 @40ET and 17"x8 @25ET.This allows me to have 265 tyres on the rear and you could put 235's on the front, but i'm using 215's as they were bought for unassisted steering.Unfortunately you cant get a 17" 225x40 tyre.
They certainly improve the handling as well,i'm running Bridgestone RE050 acemetrics all round.

Looks perfect. I'd like another Griff and would plump for them as an option, in anthracite on a similar coloured car....like the old factory hack

How is clearance at those sizes? Did they bolt straight on? Do you have any probs at full compression or full lock?

Bolt straight on and no clearance problems at all once ride height readjusted to compenste for larger diameter rears. It is a very close thing on the rears,as the tyres just touched the inside edge of the outer of the drivers side wheel arch before ride height was re-adjusted and this was with compression set very soft on the Nitrons. To their defence,my car sits lower than std,and it was only the slightest rub under extreme circumstances. It was obviously just a body moulding tolerance thing. The guy at Compomotive certainly knew his stuff with the TVR figures due to a fair bit of race experience, and to be fair he did warn me that arches might possibly need dressing with 265's but i was prepared to take that chance as i need the rubber anyway. As said,no problems at all once i put the ride height back up 5mm,which is still lower than std!
