No... I'd need to go over that with them.. but it would put delivery back by at least 3 months to do that... They will be the same as the UK ones with counter sink holes and a spacer at the back (I'll obviously supply these and screws)... but the same as what I'm using so should be no issue.....
May be longer term if there is the interest I can get them done exactly as the originals... but they will cost more and it will take time.....
Cheers... John
Fantastic cheers John.

Okay guy's... I'm told they will be made this week smile
So it's just me that needs to go get them... my 12 months visa has run out and I need to apply for a new one.. only thing is the China govenrment are not issuing invite letters as they want to reduce the number of Aliens (as they call us!) visiting China... as they now think they have enough business in their home market to start reducing exports eek
So if I can't get there next month, it may be worth shipping them with my next delivery... but that will take 6 weeks to land...
See how it goes... I have the China office working on it now laughlaughlaugh

cheers.. John

well... I have them with me now.. out of the 25 i have accepted 20 and rejected 5.. (the 5 had very small indents or scratches on the front face but with a bit of filler / time would have been okay for painting... but would have been the same price.. great)... So we either have 4 sets of 5... or 5 set's of 4...
Are you all still in as it's payment time if you are..... I'll PM the details if we can sort out on here what we are doing... If some one is painting and does not mind a few min's prepping the disc's I'll bring the reject back also.. but as said... can't discount them any...
Please let me know.

Thanks

John

Update.. they are making 5 new ones so we should be okay and will post then on to where I am Tuesday in Wuxi... let's hope it all happens smile

They look just like the ones I put up before... may be a bit better on the finish as it's consistant... I only have my Black Berry with me and they are packed up again now... I'll see if I can get a pic of the 5 that are following up... Cheers

Here ya go.. got a pic of them in the end... They don't have the hole c/sunk as yet... I was not sure of the exact screw head size so I will do that when back home... we want them perfect don't we smile ,,, I'll also face the screws up from their 'Standard' finish...

Argent / MPoxon... Can you let me know if you still intend to blast and paint them... I'll scothbrite the others up so they are perfect but obviously not if your going to paint them... cheers.. John

WOW they look fantastic John. clap As you mentioned the c/sunk and shiny screws will be finishing touch. biggrin

Seems a shame given that they look great as is but I do still intend on getting them blasted and powder coated to match the alloy wheel.

No problem... They are made to 3.2 mm thick so I hope that is okay for everyone... The recess depth where they sit does tend to vary a bit wheel to wheel and also may be with age of wheel??(I don't mean this changes smile.. but the older ones tend to be deeper).. so may be worth a check (I can always skim a bit more off the backs if you think they are a tad thick) but at this thickness they are nice and stiff also...
On my way back to Shanghai today so will be home soon smile

Update... I've re-sized the discs following wheel recess depth info I had fed back... they are now 2.7mm thick so will allow for paint or will sit 0.3mm down (un-noticable) if just polished....
I'm sure this is the best size and works on my wheels better like this....
I was at the Nut and Bolt shop this morning at 9AM... but it didn't open!!!. so could not get the screws for us ... will have to get them Tuesday.....
Other than that, they are ready to go :-

I'll get them off next Wednesday (if payment rec'd)... I'm sure you'll like em....

Cheers

John

Hi John,

I received my wheel centers today, they really do look absolutely fantastic. thumbup To add to that they were ridiculously well packaged, it took me over 5 minutes to extract the centers from the various layers of protective packaging! Thanks for the detailed instructions as well, I am sure when I attempt to fit them they will come in very useful. You taking the time to offer these to fellow Grifters is much appreciated. clap

I probably will not get around to fitting these for a while as have a set of 16" Estorils which I intend to use on the front of my car. When funds allow I am going to get the 16s stripped and powder coated (along with the new alloy centres smile)I will fit these to the rear. I will then get the 16s from the car striped and powder coated and fit these to the front. Short term I like the idea of running Z rated tyres on the front and 15"s are getting ever so difficult to find. Long term I really fancy the AP Raching CP6600 300mm brake upgrade.

I will post a picture when they are fitted but I reckon they will look cool

On a separate note although I am temped by some of the cheap offerings on fleabay I have been caught out with low quality items in the past so I am looking at playing it safe and ordering the the wheel centre badges from Clever Trevor:

http://www.clever-trevor.net/TVR/Search_details/G0...

I note that from most of the other TVR parts suppliers these badges are over £10 each!

Hi Matthew… So pleased you like them… It’s always a worry when you make something for people (and it cost money!) as you’re never 100% sure of their expectations… and if they will find them as acceptable as I did when I initially made a set for myself…rolleyes

So thanks for your comments….

Hope they were perfect when they arrived.. .may be I did go a bit OTT on the packing but didn’t want them to get damaged in any way… Hope you found the spacers and didn’t throw them out with the rubbish!...laugh

One last thing.. .If your getting them powder coated… Just watch how much they put on… The initial set I had done had about 1mm of paint put on (far too thick) so I had to spend hours getting it all back off… the wheels also.. too thick is not good so I hope you chose a good powdering company..

As you say, show us some pic’s once fitted…cool thanks again.. John

Hi John,

I received the wheel centres today - mucho gracias!! They are excellent and thanks for all your work getting them and supplying the bolts etc as well. I did a trial fit of one and it is perfect. To do them real justice, I just need to get them painted to match the wheels and get some new TVR badges. After now seeing them, I am even more surprised that so few people took up your offer.

BTW, I must say that your packaging skills are exceptional! It took me some time to 'break in' thru the layers in the package!!

Maybe catch up at the Growl.
