Hi Guys

I am organising a National TVRCC event at Sherburn Aero Club on 8/9the Sept
and have hired the Ex Mintex Test Track next door for the TVR Car Club guys

I have a few spaces left if other Clubs or individuals want to have a blast

All monies raised go to the Candlelighters and the Neurone Muscular Centre (not the TVRCC)

Contact me via richard(at)pcp4print.co.uk if interested or pm me

Cheers
Richard

Will there be a speed trap there to record the speeds achieved?

Unfortunately not Rich

You had to hire Friday to Monday and it was just too costly

Look on the bright side - there is no incriminating evidence
and you can therefore claim much higher speeds!!!! Ha ha

Helmets aren't compulsory - it is at your own discretion.

I thought you said you wouldn't be going fast enough, Al? Haha

...Maybe I just don't trust your driving. tongue out

...And, for the record, if Tonto is taking his horse I'll throw a fiver to the charity for a ride. wavey

It'll probably be one of the fastest cars I'm ever likely to go in.

It certainly is - it blew my socks off when I went in it down the runway

Seemed faster even than the 997 Turbo that another friend let me drive later eek

Certainly plenty to look forward to this weekend

Is this Sat & Sun?

Might have to bring the Pork out for a blat and if bikes are allowed to run, I'd see if we could max it out.

Pork did 191 through Brunters speed trap, but if this is slightly shorter I reckon the bike would have it on acceleration to 186mph (which I beleive the bike is limited to).

We have only hired the runway for the Saturday (as it is expensive!!)

Also would prefer cars only - don't really want to mix it up with Bikes - sorry

Remember, that for some people this may be their first time ever on a "track" as well

Cheers

Is it OK to just turn up and watch?

If there's a charity box somewhere I'll obviously stick something in it.

It is OK just to turn up and watch, Dave - and everyone is welcome

As all money made is going to our 2 worthy charities (not the TVR Car Club)
then we just ask everyone to buy a £5 strip of raffle tickets
The first 200ish get a free mug then there are some other very worthwhile prizes -
such as a ride in Peter Wheelers 5000M or a McLaren F1 book (£50+) and many other instant prizes

Cheers

Nice one, if it's sunny and we are not booked in anywhere else I'll bring the family along for a bit of a picnic.
