Any idea, recommendations?

Also a bloody brilliant car valet person, with attention to detail, someone who can do the wheels inside and out.

Cheers in anticipation.

I would recommend Tony Spears @ Autoshine in Castleford. The car would need detailing before any protection was applied so I suspect he can provide the full service.

If you want a proper valet, i.e. all seats removed, load area panels if required, minor scratches etc etc and the wheels removed and properly cleaned as a matter of course, then the resident valeter at Shawfold Cars, Batley Road, Kirkhamgate, Wakefield does an excellent job. You can see the standard of his work in the cars for sale. Usually charges around £140 but do get a price first.

As for paint protection film, it has to be paintshield and xpel ultimate. Not in Yorkshire but I wouldnt use anything else. My Porsche has been covered since new and its superb. My next, italian, car will be getting it from new too. ;-)

They collected the Porsche from Porsche Leeds in a covered trailer for me, it was detailed at their shop and the entire car covered in the film. 14,000 miles and one European road trip later and it remains chip, scratch and swirl free.

My car has been covered by PaintShield, definitally worth doing. They collected the car from new in a covered trailer, I collected the car from Peterborough on completion. They were doing a Mclaren P1 at the time. The film has, without doubt, saved quite a lot of significant stone chips and numerous small ones. There are a couple of places where the film has been slightly marked by stone impacts, but if the fill is punctured it is replaced for free.

For a detailer there is Glyn O'Donnell, http://www.elite-detailer.co.uk/ he's the SwissVax UK Instructor.

Any rough idea on price? I am debating whether to add paint protection to mine. Armourfended a front end of a previous car and to be honest the cost was the same as a front end respray and you could see the "cut" marks of the film so not sure whether to bother again.

I am having the whole car done, so not a representative price, but from memory, around 1600 but that covers ALL areas at risk, not just the front.

Cheers Ash. Might get a front end quote then. Nice new motor by the way.

Might see you at Leeds beers then rather than the start line for the York 10k again!

Sorry for the delay. It aint cheap. My Porsche was about £3700 for full cover and my 458 Spider £4800. However that's for everything, all bodywork, carbon bits, sills, headlamps etc. But my view is that if you're that bothered you want film, you might as well go for the best.

Paintshield don't do XPEL anymore either. They've moved onto a new film that has the same healing and stonechip properties but is clearer and glossier. Thus far it seems to be as they state on my Ferrari (1100 miles in).

Whilst the product is excellent what sells me paintshild is the after care service. I call it "reputation warranty". If you have an issue they are more concerned than you are in my experience and want to fix it asap.
