cam change time
Discussion
Not entirely certain what you mean by a “rough idle cam” however ;
In very broad terms your engine will produce peak torque over a fairly limited rev range. By choosing the cam profile you can select where the torque peak sits. As power is torque x rpm / 5252 the higher up the rev range you push the peak the more power you will get. Generally the more radical the cam the worse the idle and light throttle drivability will be.
How acceptable a cam is depends on what you use the car for. If you drive in traffic lot or use it for burbling down to the pub at the weekend I would suggest sticking with the standard profile.
From experience I would suggest you think carefully about what you want from the car before choosing.

Sounds nice Alex how was drivability ?
No problem IMOJust don't expect much power under 3000rpm, which is exactly as I wanted
300ftlbs in a traffic jam is a waste IMO
Movr the power/torque up where its useable in these light cars
It's a solid cam/lifter set up
Ring rob and tell him you want what Alex had
