What is the consensus on the location of the jump lead connectors, that is, the grey plug connector (think Leven) and the best location for positive (starter motor feed ?) and negative (engine block ?) connectors ?

Hi Frank,

Anderson connector on the front chassis rail near the expansion tank

Positive to the starter motor main power connector

Negative to the O/S outrigger arm in the wheel arch main earth point

Ideally put the cables in a heat proof sleeve too.

Just to make a comment on these leads. They are easy reletively cost effective to make up! I have using high temperature flexible welding type cable and the 'Anderson' connectors. The cable comes in a standard terracota/light brown insulation colour, I just placed coloured sleeves to ID + & -.

Always make sure all connections are tight, free from contaminents and suitable located to avoid mechanical and heat damage.

All the best, Pete
