Interesting. She was definately a 1952 bike. A hydra glide with the rigid frame and telescopic forks. The duo glide came out in 1958 I think which had a swing arm frame, then the Panhead was fazed out in about 1964 to be replaced by the shovelhead. Wonder how the reg ended up on another bike and what happened to the original?

Not the case. I bought it in a pitiful state from Riders of Bridgewater in about 83. It came complete with UK registration document which incidentally, confirmed it as a 52 bike. I rather fear the bell end I sold it to may have underestimated its power ( it had a lot of engine mods by the time I finished with it) and grossly overestimated its brakes, which were frankly shocking. I think she may have gone to the great recycling bin in the sky! Gutted!

That's the boy. Rigid frame with hydraulic forks and abysmal front brake. The rear brake always worked pretty well. That is a lovely example with tasteful mods ( s+s filter for one) very nice.
