I need to replace some wiring running into the door (Speaker cable is faulty) and need to strip out the connectors from this plug...

Any idea how to get the connectors pins out, or re-new the connector (I'd like to keep it the same if possible)
Cheers

Pins are difficult to remove (think there may be a special tool to release the little ratchet claw that "locks" them in) and once they're out they will be crimped to the cable. I'd start afresh with something like thiswink

It's much easier to start again. But if you really want to get the connectors apart, they can be dismantled by pulling out the orange locking tab and using a pair of very small flat blade screwdrivers pushed down the sides (one each side) of the pins to release the locks. The pins will then pull out of the back of the connector.

There is a tool that looks a bit like a mini syringe. The outer part pushes over the pin, pushing the tangs of the pin back; the syringe part is then pushed to drive the pin out of the holder.

I've been fiddling with the exact same connector plug - intermittent sound from the passenger side speaker.
I was going to take it to bits but electrical solvent spray and a good poke with a screwdriver seems to have fixed it.
Found these tools on ebay as mentioned above but they ain't cheap for a full kit.

I am sure you can use the other end of a drill to release the pin got to be exact fit so try metric and imperial , push in pull down at angle it should relese it by pulling the back of the wire at the same time if I remember right ?
