Looks like supply ,discounts and finance deals are returning , still a way to go to get to a pre pandemic situation but there is light at the end of the tunnel that is
If it’s worth investing in these businesses hostile times !!

No. If the van you have is still doing its job then just keep it maintained and put the miles on it.

If the van you have is properly buggered and likely to leave you missing deliveries or deadlines to customers then possibly, if your business is consistent and not likely to be affected by the general downturn then investment may be worth it, but this isn't the scenario most businesses that require vans are preparing for. Most are preparing for unpaid bills and less demand right now.

I’ve been looking at LWB Sprinters.

What was £15k plus VAT a couple of months ago is now £15k VAT incl.

Still nearly double what it was in 2019, but a nice step in the direction of sanity.

Lots of dealers with stock vans , looks like supply is keeping up or even exceeding demand .. been looking at pick ups dealers have unsold units but still think they can sell at list , while being less than generous with a PX offer, I just said I’ll come back in the new year when they have even more available which didn’t go down well !!

I'm being told 12 months for a factory order Iveco Daily.

I wish I had a clue what this year will be like for us.

I'm running vans with two Boxers on rental and a couple older ones that I own but buying vans have become madness

Instead of buying new a few weeks ago I found a nice 16 plate euro 5 LWB Movano with 90K on clock for 8K . I brought it and will be claiming the 1600 vat back . If we have to fit a new engine or more likely the gearbox then I will still be better off

Bit of a thread bump.

There’s been definite downwards movement recently. In my local area it feels like this has been amplified by Glasgow’s LEZ implementation starting.

2 months on, how are prices looking?
Will be in the market within the next few months I'm hoping.

Looks like prices are continuing to soften but hard to get an accurate gauge without actively trying to buy.

There’s an utterly ridiculous number of fake/scam vans listed on Facebook marketplace just now.

Vauxhall Stellantis Ellesmere Port plant making Vauxhall Combos, Fiat Doblo, Peugeot Partners, Citroen Berlingo and Toyota ProAce City has helped a lot with small van availability.

Waiting lists vastly reduced and prices more reasonable.
