Can rats climb vertical plastic sewer pipe
Discussion
I have a 1ft wide approx sewer around 6 ft deep. Its under my decking and i had to remove the top so the decking was flush. It's black plastic. Would a rat be able to climb this. I thought about constructing a cover inside it or applying Axle grease all inside to make it slippy. But unsure if rats can actually just climb up something vertical?

They can’t climb a 6ft vertical plastic shaft.
Unless there’s fousands of ‘em and the form some kind of rat tower.
'fousands'? Unless there’s fousands of ‘em and the form some kind of rat tower.
6ft would be approximatey 4.

I think that would be 4 if their tails had a dose of viagra? I would put the shoulders to feet height at about 8-10 inches?
I'm happy t o delegate you to get in there with the measuring stick. But some of the rats I've seen swimming around Southampton marinas are big enough to be tory MPs.OutInTheShed said:

You have an open sewer under your decking???
See aboveI've seen a rat run up the corner of a vertical painted wall, just shuggied its way up like a ninja.
Plus it will stink, cos that's what drains do
I truly can't believe that you would think it acceptable tbh
