I Know its been said and covered before, but for the benefit of anyone doing a search.....

i just received my rear number plate from Fancy Plates ( www.fancyplates.com ) and its great. Very quick delivery, very helpfull over the telephone and if you use the website properly and open your eyes you can access the TVR rear plate option without calling them first.

Amazingly the TVR Centre Barnet were cheaper but couldn't get the letters spaced in a non-regulation fashion, so fancy plates to the rescue (they also added a very good TVR Logo).

Also need to add it came with mounting screws and covers (black and yellow) and sticky pads in with the cost.

I second that

Got mine last month. Perfect first time (and I'm a fussy bu66er)

Don't be put off by the NI bit. 48 hours after ordering and it was in my hands.

Forget Craisplates, they couldn't get it right after 3 attempts. Pi$$ poor

I have used Fanyplates for both of my Griff's great service, you need to let them know you need the special plates for the rear to allow the light through and they did me a small plate for the front of the Griff, which alows more air through.

Just ordered some with the TVR logo and Pistonheads written at the bottom right look very good on the site.
Getting giddy but not picking the car up for another 10 days or so

I have used Fancyplates for about 5 years and about 6 sets of plates.

Always first class service.

I recently used fancyplates for a couple of perfectly normal, standard number plates and the ultra nick picking MOT inspector said that the car should, in theory, fail its MOT (although he very generously let it pass, just this once....)
The reason was that the plate did not display a british standard BS Code!
It seems that since 2001 or 2002, all plates must display the suppliers name, the postcode and a British Standard BS code. Fortunately, I knew about the supplier bit and included that along the bottom in the border.

I believe it is:

"all suppliers of plates must include the suppliers name, the postcode and a British Standard BS code."

I think it is one of those odd laws where it is not illegal to "display" incorrect plates, just to "supply" them.
