Whether you like it or not - I'd rather my short haul attendants were as interesting as him.

You'd never get that on Ryanair...

I have to use these jokers all the time unfortunately.
I would be happier if they maintained their f*cking aircraft rather than dick-around, trying to promote their 'fun' image.

Ahhhh. Delicious, year old news.
I quite like them. They're vaguely punctual and I've only had one plane go phut on me out of lord knows how many flights.
Shame Ryanair haven't learnt anything from how a low cost airline SHOULD be run.

I don't really understand the point you are making. Southwest put their hands up to the fact that they have not been following FAA maintenance mandates - and therefore putting their passengers at risk (you ever heard of a 737 rudder hard-over?) - and then go on to infer that this is how a low cost airline should be run. Sorry, I just don't get that logic.
Southwest is the biggest carrier at my local airport. Their punctuality record is a f*cking joke and their assignment-less boarding process is a total pain in the balls too.
AirTran make Southwest look like the cowboys they are.
The ONLY good thing about SWA is their paintwork.

Knickers, untwist.

They've been punctual for me. They have staff at gates, their netowrk is ok and they're not planning on carging to have a slash. Better than Ryanair.
I'm going to show how carefree (read pig ignorant) about the regs I am - I'm not dead and they've had no big smashes.
All I wanted to do was show a video - not get into an arguement!

No arguement. I just felt the urge to suggest that you are talking out of your arse - that's all.
It wasn't so much your comparison with Ryanair - moreover the patronising comment about their failure to maintain more than 10% of their fleet as being merely old news and of no consequence to a seasoned traveler, such as yourself.
I have to use them a lot (2-3 times a week, sometimes), so maybe I'm a little more snippy about trivialities like basic maintenance.
Worryingly, they seem to have a bit of an issue with pilots who like a few beers prior to take-off, which also fills me with confidence regarding perceived care of their paying passengers.

You, sir, are not wrong.

I'm going to maintain that I like them. Being a 'seasoned traveller' and talking out of my arse at the same time put me in the unique position to say this:

NAH NAH NAH NAH, I'M NOT LISTENING, NAH NAH NAH.
