The usual jolly across the moors before Specialist Cars Of Malton's Big Breakfast event. Sadly the weather put pay to October's drive, but hopefully the weather will be on our side this time. These drives tend to be well attended so please do come along. The details are as follows:

Meet @ Clifton Moor Tesco just outside of York at 7am. The route will be handed out to each car at this point, with checkpoints and distances between them on each direction; if you get lost, follow these and you will find us! I will also be handing out my mobile number so anyone who does get lost can ring me (this hasn't happened yet but I don't like to chance it). Set off will be a prompt 7.30am, UNLESS someone notifies me beforehand that they will be running late (please PM me for my contact details), in which case we will wait for you up until 7.45am. The reason for the early start is simple; if you go out after the event, the roads tend to be crawling with cars and this makes it frustrating and difficult to keep the pack together. Also please note that the police will most likely be operating their mobile speed traps in the area around Malton; take this into account when approaching, and also keep any tom foolery to sensible levels when leaving the venue. We will arrive at Malton around 9.30am.

Finally, please note it's not a race; go at your own pace and stay safe; the standard of driving on these drives so far has been superb, I'd like to keep it that way.

Anyway, enough of the seriousness, who's up for burning some octanes!? Sign up below:

Sorry guys I forgot to include that, probably arriving at Malton around 9.30. Distance is usually around 80-100 miles. I'm just finalising the route now.

Route is 88 miles long from start point to Malton. Some really really good roads included across the North Yorkshire Moors.

As for when the Malton meet finishes, how long is a piece of string?! It's always still been going on when I've left at around 11.30-12.

Around 10. I will be handing out routes beforehand with the route plotted using postcodes, and a final checkpoint of malton in case anyone gets lost. The standard of driving has been excellent so far on all our drives. Drive within your limits, it isn't a race, and have fun!
