Planning a long weekend driving in North Yorkshire in March.

Has anyone any recommendations for "must do" roads and any villages which we should visit. Planning to stay at the MacDonald Hotel, Guisborough but open to any suggestions.

Many thanks.
Rich

Thank you so much, guys. Perfect information.

I assume you mean the B1257 Stokesley to Helmsley road. It's listed as one of the great biking roads but I was wondering if it would be ok for Corvettes.

Thank you for all your responses. I don't think we'll have any trouble sorting out a route and lunch stop. Accommodation is proving to be a little more tricky, though. It must get mighty popular around your neck of the woods at Easter.

All that jazz said:
That is indeed a deceptively rough road if you have any kind of sporty suspension going on. Would be a decent drive for a best smoker barge/wafter with soft suspension though yes. Also there are far too much suicidal sheep along there to make decent progress.
Which road is it?

Thank you everyone for your replies. We had a brilliant Easter weeekend in your neck of the woods. Great roads, great scenery and some great pubs. Weather was kind too. Superb weekend - thanks again.

We will be back.
