Please allow me to have a mini-rant about the quality of service provided by my local truck dealership (a Swedish brand, sited near Glasgow).

The phrase 'utterly dismal' doesn't even come close. I've just had my 18-tonner back from a routine service with these people, and it came back worse than it went in: broken mirror casing not replaced, despite an assurance from the service manager that it would be; grease marks on the passenger seat; rear light cover broken, presumably by the 'mechanic' changing a blown bulb. I could go on...

Why do these people get away with shoddy service, abrupt staff, prices that would make your hair curl?

Answer: because they can.

The end.

Why accept the vehicle like that in the first place ?
I work for a firm with a depot in Glasgow, & it's not really 'my' truck, it's just the one I use every day, and we have to take them to the main dealer for service. Unfortunately I was unable to pick it up myself, and an agency driver, who didn't know any better, collected it.
