Trying to decide between the two , had a 570s but felt it lacked any drama and didn't want to void warranty and add an exhaust as didnt trust it wouldn't brake and would end up needing to make a claim 😆! There is a nice 2013 low mileage lp560-4 near me for sale similar price to a 2018 gen 2 r8 plus . Is it basically just a gen 1 r8 in a different body or would it offer more than the gen 2 r8 in terms of ownership and experience?

Just to clarify it would be a gen 2 r8 plus or lp560. My main thinking is would the single clutch in the lp560 feel antiquated compared to a gen 2 r8 plus or does it add to the drama and experience. My brain is telling me the newer gen 2 dual clutch v10 plus is the smart option but it's not a lambo haha !

My lp560 2 is a keeper, single clutch doesn't bother me... The huracan pre Evo was smoother but boring so I never bought one until the tecnica, which I'll sell before the gallardo

You find the lp more entertaining of a weekend driver than the huracan then ? Also what's the clutch life like on an lp560 its 2013 reg

I have debated the 650 but feel like I will just feel the same about it as I did with the 570, great cars but I could drive all my local b roads sat in 1 gear with no sense of occasion

Supercar looks , preposterous performance , doors that go up …no sense of occasion ?
And how would he sit in just one gear? The statements made no sense, the 650s or 570s are true supercars, the R8 will always fall into the "is it/isn't it" bracket.
^^^^ yes
I'm not saying the 570 wasn't a super car I loved the presence and styling doors etc and handling and speed was crazy but atleast from inside the cabin it was so muted , im not sure why they muted it out so much with the 570gt also on offer . It would have made sense to me to have the gt a bit more refined but the 570s should come sounding way better inside . The intake sound generator thing didn't seem to make any noticable difference to me . In regards to mentioning I could do all my b roads sat in 1 gear I mean it had enough power that I could be in 4th or 5th the whole way and any attempt to go up through the gears would result in dangerous speeds . The best way to put it was I didnt find it a fun car to drive at slower speeds . Which brings me to my current dilemma of would the 560-4 be a better engaging drive through out the speed ranges than an gen 2 r8
