GKN Diff Polybushes 26A ?
Discussion
Guys,
I've just had the old metalastic bushes pressed out the the diff brackets and thought I'd have a play with the new polybushes before I send the brackets off for powder coating.
Only the Polybushes looked a tad big so I've measured them.
Does this look right for a GKN Diff - do polybush really squish this much?
Metalastic diameter 41.3mm
Polybush diameter 43.2
Polybush part no 26A
Diff Mounting Bush
TVR
2 Poly pieces
1 steel tube
Orange.
I've been on Polybush.co.uk and that's absolutely no help at all.

Thanks for the pointer Carsy and if I'd had the brains to check the length in the first place I wouldn't have needed to post this thread.
These are ruddy huge compared to the originals.
Effing so called 'specialists' fail again. It took 3 attempts to get a wing mirror glass and they still failed and I have a prop UJ and a six bolt manifold gasket pair in my bits box because it wasn't worth the trouble of returning them.
Clever? Fecking idiots more like.

Resurrecting this thread because 18months and probably only a few thousand miles after replacing the bushes I have a clunk which is getting quickly worse.
I fitted metalastic bushes in the side brackets and altered the BTR polybush I had to fit into the rear chassis mount.
Do you think it's possible that by altering the orange polybush I somehow buggered it and it's this which is letting go and causing the clunk?
