Hello, just having bought a 1992 Griffith 4.3, found that the fans, horns and a fan in front of front nearside wheel are not working. Have sent for new otter switch and relays as reading problems people have on here. Since looking at the fan I am assuming it is the interior blower but seized solid, i would like to know do people repair it or replace it? The car has been standing some time and not getting used. Also would like some help with getting the speedo and rev counter repaired as they are not working either. They seem to go from right to left not like most i have seen. Help anyone? stoker302

Hi thanks for the help, I have checked all fuses, all ok none blown. I have now had through the post from Racetech 3 relays and an otter switch which I have yet to put on. Would like the fan jesfirth. Hope to go to Burley house this weekend in it but its not looking good. Do the relays have only one way to be put in, assuming they are right in the first place which I very much doubt?

In my precat when I first got it, had the same problem. The heater blower was seized solid, but it didn't blow the fuse.
You will find that even if you free it off, or buy a good second hand one, its like an asthmatic gnat blowing on the screen to demist it. Just to add to the mix......
By the way. I got a replacement of a vauxhall nova.
Hi, think I might try one off a nova if it blows better, will try it against an original just for the hell of it. Cheers

Thought I would add this photo as I disturbed a red wire, the terminal broke off on a electric valve on the heating pipes, could not see where it broke off from. Think I`m digging a bigger hole here trying to find out why the fans won`t come on.

I wouldnt bother mate. Its as good as useless when its working anyway. Ripped all mine out. Fan and heater matrix. Didnt fancy the 22yr old heater matrix throwing scalding water over my sons legs.

I can understand that, I will wait till to decide whether to do that.

Have you checked all the fuses? Seems like a lot of things not working. I would check each one in turn - mine doesn't always correspond with the bibles table !
Hi Chris, got my fans working, a red and grey feed from the otter switch one went to the ignition the other went to the back of the fuse box to a relay. The wire had come out, one of those blue plastic jointers, crap things ,so i soldered bullit connectors on to the wires like on the old british bikes.
