Stainless Exhaust Mounting Trays
Discussion
PeteGriff has the CAD drawings and previously made up stainless exhaust mounting trays and is now offering to make up another batch. To make this economic he needs a batch of at least 10. I would like 2 so if anybody else is interested perhaps they would like to show their interest here as well as PMing Pete directly. I'll add this to the Chimp (sorry Chim) forum as well. Pete

Hi My250GT, the edge 'returns' are identical to the originals. The corners are not welded (my one was not) as there is no need. The way I have them formed means a neat perfectly mating corner. The previous batch of 10 I had made for the local TVRCC lads were like this. A point of note, my original mild steel tray was not welded on the corners, just full of paint and gunge! Regards, Pete
Pete, fantastic job. Just for info the attached photos of one of my plates that has been sandblasted (a few months ago, hence surface rust). This is for a 95 Griff 500 and confirming what Pete says that the corners are just folded not welded. Hope this adds a bit of clarity. PetePeteGriff said:
Hi guys, the rubber 'donuts' will be £2.10 for a set of 3 pairs as required on the Griff & Chim. Once I have finalised the cost of the trays & fixings will add this to the total. They are from a specialist exhaust parts company that supply all the rubber mountings to the trade! Regards, Pete
Pete, that's a no-brainer. At that price, please can you add a third set to the two sets that I hope you will supply with the two exhaust mounting trays. Would it be cheeky to ask as you've gone to all this trouble, whether you have a supplier for the three bolts, penny washers, nylocs etc. plus the 6 17mm bolts plus spring washers in stainless. It would seem a pity to put that beautiful stainless tray on with the old bolts. If you can and want me to measure them all, I'm happy to do that or have I missed a thread and you were planning to do that anyway? Pete
Doing a bit of maintenance on the Green Meanie and got round to fitting PeteGriff's stainless steel exhaust mounting trays - cracking they are....!
They fitted on a dream. No adjustment to the holes required. I particularly liked the new rubber bushes, especially compared against the old ones, which were a squishy mess! Pete thought of everything including self adhesives foam tape between the tray and the chassis.
While I was at it I also fitted Pete's little rear exhaust bracket in stainless steel
What a pity the rest of the car doesn't match the exhaust trays....!

Hi guys, looks like it might be worth running another batch of trays, I would need a minimum of 10 to make it viable. Sorry StormGuy I don't seem to have received your PM. Pete, I do have a few of the stainless hangers but need to make up some 'L' bolts some time.
I will get a list going for the trays. Regards, Pete
Pete, another hanger would be great if you could reserve one for me. 'L' bolts whenever you get round to having some made up. Cheers PeteI will get a list going for the trays. Regards, Pete
