Where did you source the bonnet from? Quality up to expectation? I am after a grif bonnet to experiment on - what's up with your original
Cheers
Ian
Hi Ian

the original bonnet has split on the offside were the fixing goes through , the original owner pop riveted eek some stainless strips and sandwiched it together !! so I will repair this with fiber glass from the inside (proper repair) and store it .
I have gone for the vented bonnet much stronger than the original and IMO looks better ?

Which brakes did you go for Ste? I've just fitted a high specification kit & the brake balance is verging on dangerous with the rears locking way before the fronts get anywhere near. I've emailed & called them today but no reply or answer yet.
A guy from Germany's coming over on the 4th to deliver them I went for 300mm groves black 4 pot with TVR engraved in red , if the back are locking up you have over done it on the rear ? Maybey you need to get a bias valve and set the percentage more to the front ?

When you say "looked at" - what needs changing?
I think it's the top of the resivor cap catching the bonnet vent ??
I think I might drop mine lower and inset the wing top to make look a better job :-)

You want a T5 from a Tuscan. Apparently they go straight in without any chassis mods. I also think jonn reid can supply you with the correct fitting for the T5 if you can't find a Tuscan one.

I think stevesprint went this route. Give him a shout.
Cheers ,I found a Tuscan box but a £1200 thought it was a little steep ?

I will be looking for a T5 soon and will be in touch Mr Reid for some parts I recon I can get a T5 for a few hundred with contacts in the trade as a 1 off favour :-)

Sorry a little off topic but you did ask.
Fitting the later style T5 with the lever further forward is one of the best.

If you are serious about this mod I’ll email you some more pictures.
Good Luck
Steve
From bonets to brakes to gearboxes lol.
Seriously yes I will need a better box if I am looking to get 400 ponies !!
I take it the one on the right is the std box and the one on the left is the Tuscan ? The one to fit ?so you have to mod the prop? Speedo do they need my old one as I will order that now ?
Fabrications ? I am a fabricator by trade so have access to CNC plasma and lathe ,milling machine tig for alloy so drawings would be good or a pattern and I would make a better one in return ? (A long time ago I was going to fabricate a Griff chassis in stainless steel )
Yes any help in this conversion will be appreciated ,swaps beer tokens in return biggrin

i had one on my ls griff. definitely vented a huge volume of really heated air, especially at standstill. make sure you get the brake master cylinder looked at or it'll possibly interfere. it'll just need some fettling to work.
When you say fetteling and also have been told lowering the pedal box can you clearly explained ,as my peddalbox is touching the steering column ? Do you mean undo the bolts tilt it forward and slot some spacer washers between the box and body so it tilts it forward by 4mm?

Anyway back on the bonnet subject rolleyes I had a lovely levern bonnet stay a few things broken but may I say quickly replaced (thank you) so the thing was no rollers ? you would think these things never wear out ? oh yes they do and who made the decision to have made them white ? YOU CANT GET THEM BLACK !! furious

So this is what I did today and got some lovely domed stainless allen bolts to finish them off cool
