Hello All,

i'm having problems with my boot fastening.
I cant close it, it wont catch.

When i press the boot release on the dash, nothing happens either
the solenoid is not operating.

How do i fix this

Thanks for the tips so far.
i'll work on it over the weekend.

I do think that it is electrical, nothing happens when I press the boot release on the dash, no noise or indication of the mechanism working.

I also have no dashboard light in the instruments for some reason.
The instruments were out also but this was just the 10 amp fuse, which I replaced, all the clocks started working then, but no lights in them.

I cant find any fuse for the boot release.

If I try to push the boot catch mechanism manually, its like its locked, it wont move

any further suggestions welcomed

Thanks to everyone, i've fixed the boot release, it was the motor burned out due to the button being stuck as suggested. and i had knocked the dash lights off on the button under the dash.
