I LOVE Bosch. I can see many parallels to UK squabbles etc but the follow up? I just don't like it.

I don't know how to put the spoiler thing up but episode 10 gives the impression of being written in a hurry in a desperate bid to finish everything off.

I've just started the new season and with all the comments on here, I'm hoping I'll be able to get through it. Big shame if the Bosch series dies a lonely death on a minor streaming service.

Quite a few good moments to it but the main plot(s) had no energy to them, it was like we had subplots but a main one never happened.

First two episodes following over from S1 were a whole different grade to the fairly dull stuff that happened for the rest of it. The occasional good moments didn't make up for the boring bulk were we didn't care about the crime or any of the players involved. It was weak. And the FBI story was mostly filler - most interesting bit of that was seeing how much Anthony Michael Hall has changed since his early film career.

It was still watchable but it wasn't anywhere near to what it has been, and that seems down entirely to the story/writing as all the other components were still there.

I liked his tech expert's role in things this time round. Guy plays the role really well, right kinda vibe for that scene I imagine?

I thought that too.
I still think of him as Gary from Weird Science...then changed quite a bit as Johnny in The Dead Zone tv series.
He is almost unrecognisable now...but we all get older. frown

Was good to see a familiar face in the final episode. smile

Loved that! I thought their (complicated) relationship was one of the best things about Bosch.

Filming for series 3 has wrapped, so possibly 6 months away. It takes inspiration from 2 books, Desert Star and The Black Ice.
