He seems like a massive grifter making ludicrous claims and comedic attempts to avoid facing up to his responsibilities. And to think we the tax oayer are paying for all this nonsense, as we did saving his life when he was in hospital with Covid. Disgraceful how long it’s gone on.
Indeed. He's not just a grifter though, he's also violent - past allegations and charges of sexual assault, domestic assault, rape, and in the UK kicked a prisoner officer in the face and also tried to chase and assault hospital staff. I think we should avoid portraying him as just an odd walter mitty.

If he doesn't get extradited it will be a travesty.

Case adjourned until 2nd August, because Rossi has tested positive for Covid!

and it seems he's forgotten he claimed to always need an extra oxygen supply, and that he's not able to raise his arms.

Ah come on. Surely they can deliver the decision on whether he is going to get deported despite him having Covid!

This has been going on for too long now. Way too long.

So its ok for us to potentially agree to extradition of a UK citizen to the US, but not vice versa?
Alahverdian is a US, not UK, citizen. He faked his own death and became a fugitive from justice (or vice versa). They are welcome to have him back. The sooner the better.

Is he now claiming to be Toulouse Letrec?

Sheriff has ruled Nicholas Rossi can be extradited, decision now needs to go to Scottish ministers.

I read elsewhere though that this could go on for years with appeals before this guy finds himself on a plane out of the UK.

Probably should have said in the case of the US army wife that knocked that lad off his bike and killed him.
When they were still in the "go on, come back and show your face in court"/"no I don't wanna!" phase I saw a vox pop where the overwhelming view of the Americans interviewed was that she should face the music for what she did.

Any British person can tell his accent doesn't exit in the UK.

Surely his wife is complicit in this lie.

They should have taken him straight from court to the airport and got rid of him.
He can file his appeal while sitting in a US jail.

His best hope is for Sunak to opine on national TV that he should be extradited then.

He hasn’t yet had a hand cut off and a hook put in place.
Saving it for a later date to further delay the extradition?

One of the disadvantages (I’ve found) since avoiding all MSM since Covid, you tend to miss little nuggets like this.

I did see this thread a few weeks ago, but didn’t really read it.

What a story, and what an absolute loon (Rossi).

I watched a documentary on the I player last night, and a few snippets on YouTube. It really does make you wonder where and how Rossi’s new wife fits into all of this?

I mean what does she believe?

There is certainly going to be a good 6 part TV drama going to come out of this story. It's like the guy who faked his own death with the canoe it's so unbelievable you couldn't make it up.

May be the wife is playing long game and her reward will come when she sells the story.

Women fall in love with serial killers so an alleged sex offender isn't a big leap.

He's a convicted sex offender. What's alleged are these current offences (which he definitely did)

Think it was the BBC doc on I player where the interviewer asked about his tattoos? To show them.

Him (Rossi) and his new wife kicked that one in to the long grass saying: ‘he’s running low on oxygen’ rofl

It beggars belief how these serial chancers really operate doesn’t it? Ok he couldn’t have planned a Covid infection and a stay in a Glasgow hospital.

God does work in mysterious ways (and I’m not religious).

I think he reckons that he has no recollection of how he got the tattoos, alleging they were planted on him to fit him up, or how his finger prints are a perfect match??

rolleyes

But, to keep trying to bluff it out? Unbelievable.
