Countryman without wood (if so, how?), or van with windows?

Cheapo Travellers and Countrymen didn’t have wood.

I didn't know that. Thanks. Were they still called Countryman(s)?

Travellers were Morris and Countrymans were Austin.
Both were avaliable with or without wood.
The only differances between the Austin and Morris cars were the badges and grilles.

I thought Austin was Countryman with wood, and Morris Traveller without wood

Sounds familiar; Countryman with wood, Traveller without. We had the latter. In that colour.

I had two major accidents in the poor thing. My parents then got rid of it after I rolled it. Father reckoned it was probably not quite the same car...

It’s certainly a classic, the cool bit I’m not so sure about. But it is tiny

Centre of Peterborough last week …

All from a village show last weekend …

‘Factory-looking’ droptop conversion XR2 - it looked just right.

Chevrolet Biscayne

Mercedes 280SE - love the colour - no idea what the official name of it is though …

Car of the day for me - lovely ‘67 MkII in a grey - again unsure of the actual colour - paired up with an Oxblood interior. Not overly restored and just looked ‘right’ …

There is also a lovely Cortina Crusader Estate adjacent to the Black RS2000.
Isn't it a Carousel?
Could be either, I think: both were available two tone.
I didn't know that. I thought the Crusader had a big pinstripe thing and the Carousel was two-tone.
Carousel were all two tone, Forest Green over Crystal Green, Graphite Grey over Strato Silver or Roman Bronze over Tuscan Beige.

Crusaders were available in more colours. They came about two years after the Carousel. Single tone with chrome bumpers or two tone with black bumpers.
I know of one local dealer that 'made' a two tone Crusader that went out with chrome bumpers. Popular choices were red over silver and blue over silver.
I was generally not over fussed on Ford limited editions of the period as they had such a good model structure. For me in MK4 Cortina’s it’s an ‘S’ or Ghia and a MK 5 Ghia, preferably with a 2.3 V6 engine.

I forgot about the boot hinges! Shame they ditched those, looks much cleaner than the later top-mounted hinges.

I agree! A step backwards!
