Wait until he reaches the N / NE Coast of Scotland, I used to work 12 & 20m Dive Ribs, out of Peterhead.
You think the above sounds like a big RIB?
It feels fking tiny leaving PD with a stiff North Easterly.
I've actually cut both engines out with oil pressure alarms due to the oil pickup pipes drawing air due to the boat being in mid air. (admittedly, I might have been a bit heavy on the throttles )
I think he is doing a great thing, he's a very likable guy and I hope he succeeds but if he buggers up his forecast he is going to st his pants.
This is good. A RIB magazine (I'm guessing about 20 years ago) organised a round Britain tour. As they went around Cape Wrath - the NW "corner" - the way the cliffs plunged into the sea made it all seem quite terrifying to a Midlander like me. That's at 33mins.You think the above sounds like a big RIB?

He's in for a shock.
Good clip BTW, that is seriously tiring stuff, you think "yeah, this is fun" for about 15 minutes
Then the leg ache starts and it goes downhill from there.
Very soon you're dreaming of a warm bed.

Mix-in some less than fun weather, and... I'm probably 20 years too old for it.

I share the same sentiment, I wish him well, but feel so far that good luck has played as much of a part as planning. Fairly certain they/he have learnt a lot since the 1st episode though. You think the above sounds like a big RIB?

How cool is that island they visit at the start. Huntsman said:
At the end it says "it might be more than 1700 miles".....
Depends on how much he "straight-lines" it. The coast, if you follow it at a fairly granular level is over 11,000miles long.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coastline_of_the_Uni...
Young chap sailed around it - his route is quoted at 2500 miles.

Really highlights the beauty of the south coast. Love it, couldn't wait to watch the new one.
If he only does it in the summer though, isn't it going to take him several years, like 10 or something? and if he carries on from now on. What is the north coast of Scotland like in January....? Not quite as pleasant as Cornwall in August I suspect!

I met him on that leg and they are as fun to be with off camera as on, lovely people and inspirational too. I would say Harry is well aware of what is facing him further along on this trip and will put a lot of effort in to get there. Very much willing them to succeed and would offer help where possible!

I guess if he picks his moments in Scotland there can be times in winter are so calm the water can be like glass. Problem I imagine is trying to arrange his work/holiday and his support crew to go for windows of weather that far north at short notice.
I imagine he will have to leave the boat at various small villages along the coast and rely on goodwill from locals to store it ready for the next leg.
When he gets the chance to do it though, it would be epic around the west coast sea lochs with snow on the mountains. I'm insanely jealous of what he is doing!
I’m presuming this is an amateur effort and all the footage is captured by Harry, his drone, and his friends. I’m surprised it hasn’t been sponsored by the UK tourist boards – it should be - the scenery is fantastic.
I didn’t know the Scilly Isles looked quite as stunning as that –
Envious as hell - it’s an amazing thing to do. 26 miles across open sea in that little boat- Mad but wonderful.
