Race for Glory - Audi v Lancia

There's no getting around it - this is a poorly made, lethargic feeling film. It's not dreadful and is redeemed by the sight and sound of Quattros and Lancia 037s racing around - although even the race sequences feel slower than they should.

Worth a watch for the cars, but that's about it.

"Inspired by true events" with plenty of artistic licence.
Watched it last night and agree. It's "OK" but nothing more. Some lovely machinery as you would expect but it just didn't hit the mark.

Haven’t watched it yet, but it has something of a reputation in the Rally world.
Biggest hype, then the biggest let down…..

Interesting point on the race sequences feeling slow - I found this with Ford v Ferrari also.

The racing in Steve McQueen's 'Le Mans' are miles better, despite having been filmed 50 years earlier.

I watched it last night as well, I thought it was pretty poor to be honest.

The text at the end where they admit that it's "Inspired by true events" and parts of it were completely made up sums it up really.

An extremely poor film, what were they thinking, everything about its construction is poor, it sure as hell isn't a hans zimmer soundtrack, truly awful score.

I was throughly enjoying "Manifest", till I noticed just as we finished series 2, it goes to 4, apparantly due to some licensing stuff they coudnt show series 3, thank god for amazon they had a copy.

Series 2 ended on a clif hangar as well.

The first part of the United Treble trilogy of Netflix films. Very good sports docu, even better if you like football.

Finished Baby Reindeer, tough watch in places but good overall. not my usual thing too few explosions or giant robots.

Also watched Bullet Train, fun, enjoyable film. I was remarkably sad at one or two of the many, many deaths. Nice Cameo.

That's on Prime isn't it?

Agree that it's pretty good though

I stumbled on “The English Game” yesterday and am 3 episodes in. Enjoying it so far, especially the early tactics of how to play football.

Still way better than 'Ferrari' and lets not even compare to 'Lamborghini'

Just watched part 2 and it's just as good. Ferguson was a one off.

Holding his nerve when he first introduced the kids and results took a dip, with the majority of fans thinking that he should be sacked, was impressive.

Started on Aquarius, Fox Mulder vs Charles Manson. It's OK, nothing earth shattering, but entertaining enough.

A Man in Full

I started on this last night and seen 2 episodes so far.

I'm enjoying it but feel the characters are generally weak and unconvincing but this doesn't really take anything away from it really.

I'm looking forward to see how it pans out.

I just didn't gel with this series. The main character is supposed to be a wily old geezer who has made millions, but he just came across as naive and stupid.

Saw the whole thing, it was ok, don't regret seeing it but my life wouldn't be empty if I'd missed it.
