^ ^ ^ Agreed that was sad; on a lighter note I really enjoyed that episode, I do like a 2CV.

The profit thing, we all know and so do they, its BS, just part of their signature.

IMO, this series is a light hearted jaunt, with two likeable presenters, with car content thrown in, that’s good enough for me.

Yeah he was only 29!
Anyone know what happened?
Sad especially seen as he said he moved there and loved it etc and then this at such a young age.

crikey no comments this morning about last nights Oz episode.

I suspect it was a set up with the buyer! Seemed fishy to me.

It was a bit flat for me after the 2CV van last week. Nice enough car and mods, but didn't float my boat really.

Enjoyed that but I am a fan of the Aussie V8 stuff. Mike just loves a racing stripe doesn't he? hehe

For the first time in a long time I switched it off after about 20 minutes, and I have skipped the 2CV episode entirely.

The Aussie V8 was just all a bit too meh for me.

Just watched the 2CV episode, bit of a shock at the end. Going to watch the Oz one tonight.

Oh well, we all like different things, I find it interesting that such a small market could sustain 2 manufacturers; I enjoyed it. I think Wheeler Dealers, could be more global, than most of us think, hence this series.

I liked it, but much preferred the Holden he went up against. It was four / five years newer though.

Are Australians like the Americans? They are loyal and either buy ford of Chevy and tend not to swap between

Yes, most buyers of Holden or Ford will stick with those brands, especially if they are petrol heads.

The Holden vs Ford rivallry has gone on for decades and it's largely been maintained by the V8 Supercar series.
Neither brand (or any other) are manufactured in Australia any more, so it's already an end of an era in a way.

Plenty of people drive other brands from Asia and Europe.
European brands tend to carry premium prices.

I thought the episode was okay in showing footage and talking about the Bathurst history.
They were lucky to get to drive a V8 Interceptor replica.
Thought they wimped out a bit though in not going for the supercharger kit.
