She has been well skewered over this suicide chap.

If this was a plod interview she would more than likely be going no comment from this point

It does rather underline the attitude of the senior management to avoid blame and pin it somewhere else, we didn't kill him he was already mental...

She was planting alternative motives for his death in the minds of others - with no basis of knowledge about Mr Griffiths at all.

I thought that in the absence of comment from her that some of the stuff may have been overblown, but very much not, I see.

Beer is a top operator. Her delays in answering unanswerable questions reminds me of Lee Mack trying to concoct believable lies on Would I Lie To You.

Pretty direct questions there - why is it in undocumented conversations you recall there are always things that reduce the blame on you?

She can't possibly be interested in protecting public money she spend £100 million of it trying to cover up the scandal and deny them justice.

Yeah - I can see the coaching session now:

- when you get questioned about the suicides, make sure you break out the Kleenex.

- previous appearances, there's been criticism of being cold hearted, so better say "sorry" at every opportunity.. etc..

I was referencing her response to the suicide - I've absolutely acknowledged the quality & cost of the Mishcon input earlier!

It's just more of the same. Anything which is awkward or nails a point, memory lapse. Anything which has a glimmer of a get out, crystal clear recall.

How many more scandals to come out? Increasingly clear that the set who thought they were 'the powers that be" really considered "Ordinary people just don't matter." Except they're gradually being exposed and definitely found wanting.

Her attempting to avoid any suggestion she understood how investigations operated is frankly laughable.

Compares something from probably her private life to an attempted suicide of a sub postmaster
She is a real wriggler
Please don't ever use that phrase again in regards to this woman, it has connotations that should never be applied to her! yuck

Mr Beer is far better at getting answers than she is at avoiding them! Despite the selective memory.

She is simply not credible. Didn't know we had a prosecutorial team? Well sort of but didn't know how many, and anyway I wasn't the only one who was surprised when we found out.

Seriously trying to claim ignorance of a major department in her own company and of the PO's ability to prosecute its own staff. grumpy
