9.4% to Haley in West Virginia

It's being noted that Maryland and Nebraska were closed primaries limited to Republicans only
He's still losing protest votes significantly

But as we've been saying, Dems need to start pushing the message especially about trumps tax cuts for the rich, his quid pro quo selling US policy to the companies for personal profit...
Nancy Pelosi interview in the Leading podcast gave a very clear message on how much the tax cuts gave away and the impact on every other programme blocked by the GOP.

Congressman Jamie Raskin, ranking member of the Committee on Oversight and Accountability, has written to the heads of the American Petroleum Institute (API) and eight companies: Cheniere Energy, Chesapeake Energy, Chevron, Continental Resources, EQT Corporation, ExxonMobil, Occidental Petroleum, and Venture Global LNG.

This is over trumps quid pro quo where he told industry leaders he would gut climate regulations if they raised $1 billion for his 2024 presidential campaign.

and pointing out only MSNBC covered the story

Yeah of course Cohen paid out $130k that he didn't need to purely out of the kindness of his heart.
So much so that the $130k came from an equity release from his own home.

I'd guess a fine. I can't see him being sent to prison. If he is found guilty and fined, does that move the needle much with swing voters?
Difficult to say. It's a convoluted thing to ask in a poll question.
It expect some won't bother voting at all
Some might prefer biden on the basis that trump is convicted
Some of the less die-hard gop voters might not vote at all too.

Yes I get it's something that's hard to find out from a poll question. I think the swing voters are the main ones who matter in this. There's a bunch of people who hate trump and would never vote for him, another who think this lawfare. I wonder about those in the middle.

There's 10-20% of the gop actively voting against trump in closed primaries, if that's any indication.

That's turning up, to vote against trump, in a primary. If I was the gop, I'd be terrified right now. But they appointed trump's daughter in law as head, so it looks like they've self imploded.

Still a trump die hard cultist at that point. Trump didn't have the money remember he took $10m routed through Egypt in the last month of his campaign. Russian, who knows but barr killed the investigation into it.

Plus trump didn't want to pay until after the election, if he didn't win he wouldn't pay. Wanted Daniel's to take a trump IOU which she rightly refused, so Cohen stepped up again for trump.

Weird with all the testimony you're still trying to push trump lies about that... wink

Try Hope Hicks testimony as well about Cohen biggrin

$130k, doubled repayment for the tax payable plus $60k bonus... let's not forget. All signed off by trump. Cheques to the wh for signing, when he claimed he divested trump org...

Yet here you are still believing the conmans lies...

Biden doesn’t mince words: “donald trump lost two debates to me in 2020, & since then, he hasn’t shown up for a debate. Now he is acting like he wants to debate me again. Well, make my day, pal. I’ll even do it twice...I hear you’re free on Wednesdays.”

trumps ranted in reply on TS, claiming
"Crooked Joe Biden is the WORST debater I have ever faced - He can’t put two sentences together! Crooked is also the WORST President in the history of the United States, by far."

lots more ranting finishing with
"I am Ready and Willing to Debate Crooked Joe at the two proposed times in June and September."

except he won't, he'll claim his lawyers won't let im, or something, just like his trial testimonies he hasn't done. Just like his claims he stormed out of court, which he hasn't done...

More GOP Bull.. Johnson was the Chairman of the Republican Study Committee just three years ago

Reporter: We’ve heard a lot about Democrats supporting defund the police. The Republican Study Committee budget cuts the federal grant program that local departments use to hire officers. How is that not proposing to defund the police?

Johnson: I haven’t looked into the details of the budget. They also plus up other areas

Also somehow claims it's Jack Smiths fault Cannon is slow walking the stolen classified case to help trump.

It might be the first debate ever where both sides lose. biggrin Joe’s not exactly fast talking when I’ve caught a clip of him, and he is looking old now. His advantage is that Trump is an idiot, but he’s also a noisy idiot who doesn’t let facts stand in the way of making his point…

Trumps supporters will see his performance in a debate as a victory, regardless of how much fact checking goes on later (or in parallel) to show he’s making it all up. Those who are undecided might well be swayed by some table thumping rhetoric from Trump.

I can’t see Joe crushing him in a debate without some VERY strong moderation to keep Trump quiet when it’s not his turn.

Is that video even real? Video production looks good but the sound is horrendous for background noise, and it's five videos stitched together taken from different distances away, or at least zoomed in during post-production.

esit: yep seems to be, apparently that’s just the way the kids cut things together these days…

It’s a long time since Trumps frankly excellent performance during the various 2016 debates.

Biden did ok in 2020, realistically it wouldn’t be a debate anyway. Biden would stick to his talking points and try to avoid getting drawn in.

Now,hear me out.

Is there an argument to be made for trump and Biden, in the run up to the debates, to do traveller style "call out" videos?
