Goes to show how strong people feel about this though.
Odd thing to say.

Do you take the same view of IRA or Islamist bombings?
He hasn't necessarily said he agrees with it. rolleyes

But yes, IRA/Islamist bombings come from strong feelings about specific topics too. Are they justified? No.

Just seems such a weird thing to do unless someone really wasn't thinking? Scene photo suggests it was inside the cabinet, so they've either built something fairly powerful (not a trivial job), cracked open the cabinet, then put it inside, or they've drilled the cabinet & filled it with acetylene.

Either way not quick and why bother after someone have already chopped the pole down & dropped it onto the cabinet (if the scene photos are a guide). Plus how to trigger it?

Really really stupid if someone had actually done that and it wasn't an accidental bang on kit that had only been there a few hours.

Probably all on someone's house camera so won't be a long investigation when it has this profile.

We don’t know it was deliberate yet do we? Obviously we have the local expert on the thread about how <exactly> could an electrical fault cause this, but as yet it is unknown.

The Met press release said it was "low-sophistication", so probably something anybody could make by taking apart some fireworks "etc".

From the M25 to Zone 1, my Euro 5 diesel lives on!

Khan we know you!
You scrap Euro 3 petrols too!

Every time the media lies, a diesel in Uxbridge dies!

Khan, Khan what do you say?
How many perfectly serviceable and well maintained diesel cars and vans did you scrap today?

When my ancient Transit is under attack,
What do we do?
Stand up! Fight Back!

Etc

I can’t believe this is the mainstream bladerunners doing this. They know cutting down cameras or disabling them in none dangerous way they have the public’s support and the police didn’t really appear to be arsed about the vandalism of a few cameras which pissed khan off.

They must know the moment they start blowing things up and endangering the public those views would change.

They will lose public support and the police will be over this like a tramp on chips.

I just can’t believe someone has been so stupid.

Really? I'm sure Google will give you the basics, and the dark web the specifics. We've all got devices in our pockets capable of finding instructions, if you're inclined to look. Humans have been making things explode since the 9th century - it's really not some complicated alchemy.

I'm with the posters above regardless - this will be the end of the blade runners; counter terrorism and the security services will no doubt take an interest, and the perps located.

Very foolish.

Seems odd to say the least.

Still, plough on with ulez regardless. None of this has gone far enough yet for Khan I'm sure.

Perhaps it's a false flag op by Khan's stazi ?

Are you suggesting that politicians should cave to violence?

It doesn’t even take dark web searches. I can think of ways of doing it with quite basic chemistry and easily available items. People get caught because they are on watch lists for radicalisations and then start buying stuff. I’d guess that they slipped through because no one was watching a bunch of grumpy middle aged men (I assume that’s who these people are) who mostly seemed to be doing a bit of vandalism.

This. They've now invited the attention of Counter Terrorism Command and the Security Services with all their anti-terrorism powers and ultimately prosecution for terrorism offences.

Makes me think back to something I remember as the Jolly Roger cookbook. A lad at school many years ago was giving out free copies on a floppy disk. As it turnes out making things go bang is surprisingly easy.

Are you saying that politicians like Khan should be allowed to extort money from ordinary citizens (particularly those who can least afford it) Just because one of his departments, has been run with such extreme inefficiency, as to be in danger of bankruptcy?
It is not even as if the enlarged ULEZ, is going to have much if an any effect at all on air quality in London.
