The comments on some news sites are hilarous, the Russian state news has comments blaming Jews, Israel, USA etc...

They were completely taken in by another user who stated that the chopper was flown by a Mossad agent Eli Copter rofl idiots.

Iran's ruling clan won't give a crap. They'll have some fake mourning, roll in a new dictator and carry on much as before.

There is zero chance of a democratic election for a new President taking place.

Yep, fk him, he would order someone to slit your throat without a second thought.

Iran is a big shame, was looking good then this lot took over, cosying up with Russia "Yeah, we are s to our people as well, yay lets be bessie mates".

Such a shame what happened in Iran. In the 60s it was a progressive and free country.

Search for photos from the 60s. Smiling Uni students in big collar open shirts and women in mini-skits with beehives.
Exactly the same as in Afghanistan. https://www.messynessychic.com/2013/06/10/lost-in-...

Didn't know that. Thanks for posting. Utterly tragic what religion can do when co-opted for personal gains.

Egypt is the same. I wonder what women who used to dress like this think of things now?

Egypt is the same. I'm sure people can find links and see photos.
El Sisi is a military dictator, the Muslim Brotherhood were the holy rollers, and Mubarak before that was also a dictator; throughout it's been a US client state.

It wouldn't be from Egypt being a religious theocracy that has changed that though as I'm not sure anyone would have called Sadat or Mubarak particularly religious in the way the supreme leader of Iran was supposed to be..

Tragic. There's a special place in Hell for the religious nutters.

Here is a picture of me and my brother in downtown Tehran with a Catholic priest, circa 1977. Not something you would see now…!

There are still Catholic churches and cathedrals in Iran.

Pathetic really isn’t it, maybe the sanctions are for a reason ?

Maybe make your own helicopters, they hate the US so much but will fly about in their choppers.
