I was unaware this thread's topic had changed to "whatever is bugging that fat prick who writes Order Order", but whatever.
True. The issues, if any, with Starmer are not that relevant to a Scottish Politics/Indy thread.IMO who is in govt in Westminster is off interest of course but a long long way back behind sorting out the SNP. They came uncomfortably close to breaking up my country in 2014 and have since then governed Scotland very badly partly because of their focus on indy before anything else.

Now despite a 25% per head more per head spending, the Scots have declared a national housing emergency, and want more money that doesn't exist.

Councils across rUK are experiencing the same situation, yet 25%moreScotland wants more. How would an iScot cope when funded by 5m people?
More fecking dogwhistle st from the Munchausen by Proxy party. SNP ScotGov inflicts a cut on councils' housing budgets to create a crisis so that they can then use it as another political false flag to stir up their idiot supporters.https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c4n11j180lzo

The sad thing is that there is a hardcore of support that will believe it. Imperative that the opposition keep listing the litany of money 'disappeared' by the SNP due to wastage and incompetence.

Agreed, but picking holes in Sarwar’s politics is perfectly on topic & something I’d like to concentrate on. As previously mentioned, when Labour were ousted from running Glasgow it looked like a change for the better but turned out to be more frying pan into the fire, I’m desperately hoping getting rid of the SNP at Holyrood doesn’t turn out to be the same.IMO who is in govt in Westminster is off interest of course but a long long way back behind sorting out the SNP. Without an overall majority Labour would need to persuade others to support bills on their merits and hopefully this would lead to better and more open govt. Not a huge fan of Sarwar but rather him than any SNP FM.

Hopefully the next Scottish govy will be either a minority or a coalition involving Labour as the largest party. The alt would be another SNP govt.

I dislike SLab intensely, but as you say rather them than any more of the detestable SNP scumbags. The best possible outcome, other than entirely abolishing Holyrood of course, would be a broad coalition of Labour, Conservatives and Lib Dems on either an official or confidence-and-supply type arrangement, with Labour most likely being the largest party. That would hopefully keep the nuttier of their contingent in check, and stop barmy policies from making it through, but should be enough to get daily business done. It would also infuriate the SNP and their supporters, especially if the mathematics had transpired in such a manner that Labour plus SNP could have formed a working administration, but instead Labour had chosen their pro-union colleagues. The nasties would be fizzing. Plus if Yousless and Foghorn Dreghorn lose their seats, I shall be hogwhimperingly inebriated for about a fortnight.Without an overall majority Labour would need to persuade others to support bills on their merits and hopefully this would lead to better and more open govt. Never going to happen.
You never know it might actually work...they would be under intense scrutiny so might behave themselves.Never going to happen.
Some SNP baiting from the Scottish Secretary https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c9eze1dzy5no
Given the timescales for the new nuclear so far, hopefully this will get either completed or past the point of no return before the SNP (or Greens) get back into a position of influence

I find that really annoying, and it just illustrates the tribal nonsense that passes for politics in Scotland; I spent five years in a Lab/Tory council coalition, and it worked reasonably well. Of course we were never going to be ideological soulmates, but I would like to think we worked together for the benefit of the people who put us there. It should be the same at Holyrood. I certainly found that within Scottish Labour at a local level they reserved their real bile for the SNP and not us!Never going to happen.

So the £75.000 men's shed funding was scrapped while there was enough spare cash to send 10 times the amount to Gaza when Humza's family were stuck there?
Meanwhile pet projects like LGBT youth Scotland get cash chucked at them. £1M in 2022/23.

Society doesn’t care about men.
We are the source of all evil in the world.
Masculinity is toxic, regardless of what it is.
There is a huge problem with loneliness and suicide in men but society doesn’t care.
Best way to get ahead in some areas is to be part of the querty community.
I’ve never in my life encountered a confuzzled Gael who has mistakenly alighted at Anniesland instead of Partaig. Never seen a distraught one with an injury trying to flag down an ice cream van cause they couldn’t see anything marked Ambaileans.
Tell you what I have seen though, the reality of 6 men I know struggling and deciding suicide was the only way out. I don’t keep a large friendship circle and these weren’t vague acquaintances, we’re talking friends, family, friends’ family. That’s a really stark number.
£117m in the past 4 years spunked on Gaelic grandstanding whilst pulling the funding from charities which can save lives. Disgraceful.
As you can imagine that wasn’t an easy course.
It wasn’t easy putting it into practice.
The mindset of someone thinking of committing suicide is frightening.
They genuinely feel that every single person that knows them, will be better off if they are dead.
Makes me angry and sad to read that Scotgov would rather spend money on vanity project nonsense or grievance policies than something that saves lives. It's rather obviously massively underfunded as well.

The users are mostly older white men rather than youthful blue-haired nonbinaries, of course the SNP have no time for them.Boils my piss frankly. 75k is pocket change to even this government.
We're saved! The SNP are going to perhaps sort out some orders for Ferguson Marine!

Prelude for giving them another cash injection and the small ferries contract without competitive tender, despite no improvement to the yard's productivity or quality ,or any guarantee that all the f**kups with the Glens won't be repeated again.https://www.heraldscotland.com/news/24323424.fergu...
