Our current gas hob is garbage and I’m led to believe induction is the way forward….

Never used one, but heard good things.

Would be looking at Neff as we want to swap the oven as well….

You'll have to replace all your pots and pans and replace with expensive alternatives.

Also don't go near if you have a pacemaker.

My ex MiL used that as an excuse not to do the cooking as there was an induction hob in the holiday rental biggrin

Yes brilliant kit.

Swore I always wanted to stay with gas, till I moved home to one with induction. Never looking back.

Complete control on temperature and wipes down in seconds. (Plus the safety benefits)

Induction pans aren’t expensive.

Most pans are induction compatible these days.

I find the touch controls that are usually fitted to induction hobs infuriating. Knobs work great. Give me a knob any day.

Went from induction in our last house to gas in the new. Given the choice for me it’d be induction all the way.

We had 5 burner gas hob removed at our new house and replaced with a plug in induction. We had induction at our previous house and wouldn’t have anything else.

Same reason i have no interest in owning a Tesla i guess. I enjoy the modulation and feedback of a proper (read good!) gas hob and the ability to lift the pan away from the heat source to fine control heat (i do a lot of wok cookery).

Real men use gas. wink

Agree with this. Induction with knobs would be my preference, ones that can be recessed into the hob when not in use if such a thing exists. If not the ease of clean and look of induction outweighs gas imo.

Recently changed my air fryer for one with knobs rather than messing about with touch controls and 20 different settings

So you’re going to discount a form of cooking that does exactly what you want because?

Makes sense!
