So Enzo was missing for breakfast and dinner today, and has been out the house for about 18 hours. We couldn't find him anywhere. We have had a whole day of walking the local roads and fields, checking under hedges, knocking on doors but he had, simply, disappeared.

At 7.30 tonight, he sauntered in through the cat flap without a care in the world, completely unaware of the emotional rollercoaster he had caused. Mrs P and me are in bits, I don't think we've ever been so relieved.

He's now in his favourite chair, receiving a whole body lick wash from his brother. Cats eh.

Maybe he was on plan D.

Our first cat had very similar markings

Cute, Flash was a shortlisted name for one of these two.

Earlier today once they'd finished a let's trash the house session.

He's a sweety really.

Although those mangled ears give us a clue to his rough past before he took up residence with us.

13 months after the loss of our beloved Morrissey, we finally took the plunge at the weekend. This little guy will be joining our six year old Liam, we sincerely hope we are doing the right thing by introducing a new cat.

Wondered how our 8 year old rescue cat would cope after our previous Birman died from kidney failure at 13. However, we got Sami as a four month old and over the ensuing 6 months they have become the best of buddies.

True! When either of my children were small our otherwise tyrannical moggie of the day ceased hostilities and snuggled up to the unwell child for the duration.

It's because you're hotter than usual and disinclined to move. Ergo, you make a good place to sleep rofl
