they are pretty horrific tbh. upgraded on recent vegas flight on the way back on a whim and dire compared to the outbound suite. good job i slept the whole way back!

edit to add as business was half empty so i moved to the middle and had a free space next to me so could spread out my legs on the angle.

The A380 has better air quality, better air pressure, is a lot quieter and generally smoother than the tired old 777's. Get a window seat on the upper deck with the side storage bins, and if they've not been booked, one of the window seats with direct aisle access.

Was thinking 50a/b I don't mind not having a window by my head and Mrs doesn't need to try climb over someone and we don't have anyone over the isle

50B is a fairly st seat. The curtain to the toilets will be constantly being whacked into your legs. 50A has to climb over someone. There aren’t many good options with those requirements unfortunately. I’ve flown in 53A which is one of the seats where you don’t have to climb over anyone but there is noise from the galley and 53B has someone climbing over them.

First on the A380's is a 14 seat cabin, similar to club suite, slightly more space and bigger bed, but no sliding doors. You could enquire about the cost of an upgrade, but if you are travelling with a partner, I don't think you'll find a window pair on upper deck quite so terrible as you think.

I'm fked off BA have changed my flight to an a380 so been demoted to old club world frown I specifically chose the flight as it was club suite. Seriously tempted to cancel the flight bug then end up loosing deposits on the rest of the stuff we have booked
I have had this too on my flight to BOM in July frown

If there is any first availability that pops up I will go for it as to select seats it's another £488 and it would be about that for the avios upgrade

But 3 times I've booked BA first and every time they have changed the plane to one without a first cabin! So never had luck there either
