Tell us something really trivial about your life Volume 40
Discussion
Good morrow fellow Trivialities everywhere
It's dawned blue skies and scattered clouds this morning, which after yesterday's clear blue sky and bright sunshine is a come down, however we are promised it will be pissing down and thunderstorms this afternoon!!!
My friend who was here last night took the decision to go agency work last year as he wasn't being given the opportunity to progress to ACO in the company he was with, they did put him through his training and he got his crane licence, but the opportunity to actually do the job was limited, we were talking last night about how things are going for him now and he admitted that it's taken 6 months to actually get offered an ACO position and even that's temporary, so far he's just about breaking even financially as he's had to pay for 3 lots of offshore certification himself!!!!

You must be relieved to be able to pass water again, mate.
I believe bladder/kidney/UTI's can be very painful.
I have heard tell that in the Amazon basin, there are tiny barbed fishies that like to swim up the urethra of any person or animal that is peeing in the water.
It's not something I'd be very keen to experience.

Eet iz eye, Dermot! Forgotten, but not gone, it would appear.
Have I missed much? I noticed the extreme ironing pic, reminded me that the A31 from where it becomes the A31 after the M27 runs out of enthusiasm until deep into Darset is usually full of cars and trendy old VW vans with their roofs festooned with ironing boards of a summer morning:
The seabed off Bawnmuff, Poole and Swanage must be really crowded with blokes in wetsuits with their Morphy Richards frantically trying to get their creases out.
In other news, it's a bright(ish) morning here in Trivton-sur-Mer, with the threat of rain this afternoon, when I will be on the receiving end of some routine dentistry. And at some point I'll have to venture to the local chav-magnet that is Costco, because my sister has run out of Prosecco, and I need some new "work*" jeans.
Retirement isn't quite as glamorous as people would have you think, and as a wise man (and Glenners) once said, "you never get a day off".
Oh well. Onwards and upwards, and a bit sideways...
*Not actual "work", obviously

Mysteriously, we have three ironing boards. And three irons. Four, if you count the old one in the Shed that I use for raising dents in wood.
My newest one is a super-duper monster of a steam generator. Fred Dibnah would have liked it.
Sadly it lacks a whistle.
The day I retired was the day the Memsahib quit ironing bedlinen so I do it.
It's quite therapeutic in its way.
Morning All.

My day just fell off a cliff.
Huge problem at work, looking like our department will cop the fallout, massive workload increase incoming.
We've seen it in the moviesHuge problem at work, looking like our department will cop the fallout, massive workload increase incoming.
Now let's see if it's true
And to make matters worse the police aren't pursuing the complaint I submitted last week.
