We only went into the store once, then realised it was a mistake as just 2 of us.
I did use the fuel station, recouped my fees
Renewal has just come through, won’t renew
Not for us.

Is the fuel decent quality?

I've been a member for a long time and before I was a member, my uncle used to take me when I was a young kid and the Watford branch had just opened. Years later I worked there for a short period then had my own membership.

I do see the types of people shopping changed over the years though.

Great place to shop if you need to buy bulk, awful place to work.

I've said before, but they're an awful company to deal with as a supplier. Absolute bullies.

I have a story where I had to sue them. That was a long winded trail I never want to go down ever again. The effect of which I reckon I'm still feeling to this day.

I honestly agree with you. Some dark stuff goes on behind closed doors.

But the chicken tenders are lovely.

You really need to have trade membership, so you can go early and avoid the public. Rumour has it you can just knock up an invoice on Word and qualify as a trader..... whistle

I'm off work today so decided to take advantage of the 10am to 11am hour, I arrived to a huge queue in the car park and instantly regretted it.

I haven't done it since the days where they'd put on free coffee and pastries as you went in but it was just another mentalist-fest.

Zombie trolley pushers, big groups blocking everything and a random old fella barricading himself by the cooked chickens and then buying them all before anyone else could get near biglaugh

I'm stocked up on basics again and got 2 huge things of Heinz Ketchup for £3.49 rather than £4 each so savings were had.

As I left after a supermarket sweep style dash I was surprised by how many people had clearly come for a pizza and jacket potato breakfast at half ten on a Thursday.

Diesel filled up and home but it's definitely not a fun experience anymore.

What's the betting he buys them all up for his chicken shop and resells them for £12.99?!

We go on a weekday evening now. Get there for around 7pm and out by 8pm & its pretty civil in there. One bit of advice an employee gave us a few years ago was don't come on the first week of the month (i.e. after everybody has just been paid) we now go on the 3rd week of the month and not had an issue since.

I think the problem is that some folk take the entire clan including wife, granny and a brood of 8 to 10 kids so it gets a bit full.

I have given up with it, not hard up for making the small savings or ending up with massive quantities cluttering up the place, when you take into account getting there, the membership cost, the time, the unpleasant experience and buying stuff you dont need on a whim, not worth it for us.

I find it’s not cheap anymore and also rammed. We just get everything delivered by Tesco now. You don’t need to mix with self entitled ignorant pr*cks that way. biggrin
