Not a pig, no. Just a boring middle aged bloke with some perspective. biggrin

I'm just not one for slagging off players that wear our shirt. Not a single player to ever play for us is truly st. Evern Martyn Woolford and James Harper hehe

The 20k fat lads with a pie in the stands are, it takes so much talent to make it as a footballer and it irks me a little when they just get disregarded as "must be st" cos they've had some bad games.

Many "st" players have gone on and had long and successful careers in the worlds most competitive industry.

All I want to see now is:

1) Some actual fight and effort (I enjoyed the Wolves game!)
2) More than 11 points at the end of the season. We have enough crap records, I don't want that one!

Anything else, anything, will be a bonus.

I'll try and get up for another couple of games with my two lads to see if we can bring the lucky mascot piece again smile....
Oh well.

Dragging this back from 7th Dec smile

(1) out of (2) ain't bad, as Meatloaf didn't say.

That said, didn't get back up as getting suitable tickets proved difficult. So the support is evidently not a problem, which is good.

Still, to continue the punishment have decided to get a season ticket for our youngest....not sure what we'll see next season...I suspect another struggle if the owners don't change course biggrin

Bit of good fortune, but a good start.

Not sure about the transfers. Not sorry to see McBurnie gone...but getting points dropped for Brewster (amongst others) rubs salt in....and we still seem weak at the back and up front.

Season tickets this year so will be piling on the miles (350 round trip) with my youngest...excited about next week.

Happy with that start, 3 points is 3 points. Unsure if we looked good or they are poor.

Some great recruitment I think, and happy with the rip it up and start again approach which I mentioned last season. I think 14 players through the door for one reason or another is considered ripped up.

Looking forward to this season, should be there or thereabouts (playoffs I mean, can't see us getting automatic). Pre-season (I know I'm 1 game in) prediction: 7th, because United.

Wouldn't be unhappy with that.

A couple of departures were unfortunate... I quite liked Bogle. Brereton Diaz was always going to be off. Man City were always going to want McAtee back. Liked them both. And was always a fan of Norwood, however time passes. But young players getting a run out and two wins now, so we'll see.

Off to the QPR game. Mate of mine in Oz supports them... So hopefully we can extend their start to the season smile

Feels like we lost frown

Brilliant for the first 20mins.Sharp, cutting QPR open. 2-0 up.

Then sat back and lost all shape and energy.

Am not sure what question Moore is the answer to. Like having 10 men on the pitch most of the time. O'Hare looked good in the first half hour. Even thought Souza looked good.

More fitness through the squad might be enough. But I wonder what Wilder was telling them.

Here is mr glass half empty again! hehe

When did we last go 5 unbeaten at the start of a seaso ? No it probably won’t last (squad depth) but after the misery and punishment of last season, can’t we just celebrate a little bit Murph??!!

Pretty please. biggrin

Couldn't make yesterday (was at the cricket), but my youngest and OH said the first half was a bit cagey, but we should have won by a lot more in the second.

Good result against an in-form side (albeit not away).

Was at the cricket with an Owl too...plenty of amusement.

A few nice touches for Baldock at the ground yesterday. And a decent performance.

Souza is starting to look like a decent player. And the defensive line looked good (though poor old Stoke looked a bit lost going forwards and played too deep).

Think we're still wanting to pass the ball into the net. Too ponderous in the last third and wanting too many touches. Moore ran around a lot but not sure what he was doing.

A decent win. The local derby next....

(Glossing over the Leeds performance. That was on Wilder. Boro was tight).

And yet it still feels like we aren’t playing to our best?

My gut says we run out of squad depth but all the signs are there for a decent season

I agree with the former....we should be scoring more goals with the chances they create...

Not sure on squad depth...there's been a chunk of rotation and the results are there (9 clean sheets out of 13). Wilder changed things around for Leeds which clearly didn't work. 'boro was tighter.

Next weekend is a big one!

Very good week so far.

I don't think Sunday will be straight forward, as these things rarely are. On paper we should batter them, but its true the old saying 'form goes out the window'.

I predict 2-1 United win, Arblaster FGS a Vini yellow and a nervy last 10 minutes.
