I think as with all current new M4's the wheelbase is about a foot too long and that puts the balance of the car out completely apart from the front, it's really not a looker is it and how much ?? Worth 50 k a year later . Nope .

This looks like a 'business paket' option like you used to be able to get on AMG mercs. i.e full fat AMG version, just without the showy bodykit, wheels, exhausts, etc

A very capable and versatile car no doubt but that colour does in zero favours. Looks awful.

I had one of its ancestors back in 2005. One of my favourite cars. This one looks even better to me.

Without commenting on its ugliness, it just doesn't look special enough. Looks like a lower rung model.
Y'know, save for the E46 M3 - That's a thought I've had for every convertible M-Car..

Hmmm, not sure what to think about this. I don't like the stty slap on screen. It looks a bit awkward / fussy in convertible form.

£100k sounds crazy for this car, although it I suppose it's the norm.

Is the colour Velvet Orchid II Metallic? Nice to see a new M car with silver wheels!

I’m not really a convertible guy but could easily seeing this being a smashing car.

Comfortable, seriously quick with a nice interior and tech what’s not to like. Realistically probably better than 99% of cars on the road.

bmw have a great range of colours, glad that the demo is not one of the more boring hues. still doesnt make the car look any less awkward, mind

There's a reason I bought the previous gen M4 convertible. This current gen is too slab sided and I wanted real dials.

Too big
Too heavy
Too ugly
Too expensive

If I wanted to spend 90k on a bmw, first choice would be an e46 csl

If I wanted a fast four seater convertible it would be a maserati

So you’d rather spend the £90k on an equivalent car that is worse in every metric except weight and is now 19 years old.

Or you’d find nearly double the money and get the Maserati GranCabrio Trofeo (starts at £170k) which is slower, longer and in typical Italian fashion (lying about weight) will likely be heavier and has half the boot space.

Don’t really see these being realistic alternatives in the real world.

Let's hope this is the start of their renaissance. They look (to my mind anyway) so much better than black.
