Comparing them to the Rolling Stones in 2023 is a bit unfair. One is dead and the other three...well......

Seems impossible to make the RS any uglier, although it is supposedly all about performance. Surely the supple Lambo and better looks in UK roads and the RS on track or as they mostly appear to be, in Chelsea.

Same result as the recent Dakar vs Sterrato video topgear did recently. The Porsche is the better engineered car, but that Lambo engine is just so outrageous its impossible to ignore in this day and age. I can imagine being at a high-end trackday whilst a gt3RS driver is boring people in the pits talking about their adjustable diff lock settings for each corner, an STO goes screaming by on track and suddenly everyone knows which they'd really be driving.....

A friend took me out in his 992 GT3 over some Yorkshire b roads, the car felt very stiff and the ride at low speed is quite busy, but it doesn't crash or bang, very well damped once you're up to speed I'd say, front end felt very quick on turn in from the passenger seat.

I'd watched Harry's video and his dislikes of the car, the one thing my friend did say is that you need both hands on the wheel as in his opinion it did like to sniff out cambers and ruts.

Apologies all for the Gallardo error - obviously the Jalpa was the first non-V12. Will swot up on Lambo history better in future...

Just to further some anecdotal evidence - does your mate run Cup2's or P-Z Corsa's or Goodyear Eagle F1 Supersport's on his car?

Buy both you say. I can’t even afford the STO floor mats at £3,210!!!!

Objects of desire and car porn but sadly just that for most mere mortals.

Buy both?! I did…. LOL. STO is definitely more “special. GT3RS is a lot more user friendly. 997.2 was peak Porsche. 991 was border line too big. 992 is just too big. Great car though.

The RS hasn’t got a boot. What happened to Porsche‘s race car for the road? It would be about as much use to me as t*ts on a fish.
