thanks for your input guys. Might have a chat with the dealer about it and see what they say regarding allocations. Would want a GTS and while I can't really afford it, I do like how it looks and would like to buy one before they are all hybrids.
The Spider might be a bit tougher as they are supposedly making fewer of those, rumor is around 20% of production, but no numbers for allocations in via dealers yet. MDL111 said:
got it. I tried to find a best guess of how many 812 GTSs they built, it sounds like quite a large number, but as usual tough to find anything reliable
Howmanyleft seems to think 366 in the UK at the moment which is more than I thought.I do love the new coupe but also still love my F12... hmm decisions decisions. Probably don't want both...

Over 400 812 GTS came to UK and are still drip feeding in.. bear in mind only 420 F12’s came to UK total, so they built a load more 812 GTS than everybody was told…marketing! Same story here with the 12C, marketing will say all sold out limited production run then after 18 months the allocations will explode.. I do love the new coupe but also still love my F12... hmm decisions decisions. Probably don't want both...

Is it like with some Porsches, where typically the UK has about 10% of the production run, so call between 3.5k and 4k cars total? That is quite a large number
Exactly that, Ferrari UK is 9% to 10% Worldwide ProductionI’ve got to say I’m very disappointed. I think the design is a dogs dinner and doesn’t gel. That’s subjective though.
Doesn’t sound as good as previous due to tighter emissions. Was hinted that it was going to be smaller and more nimble. It’s actually quite a bit heavier than the 812 as well as longer and wider. Slightly higher bhp, but lower torque means it needs the 8 speed box to just match the 812’s performance. No progress here, just ‘milking’ it for a bit longer. Oh and the price is up £100k on the 812.

Both coupes and spiders can be ordered now. No issues with allocations, I’m told
hmmtheir email today was entitled "The wait is over…"
Saw the car in the factory a couple of weeks ago, in Rosso Imola, I don’t do Red Ferraris but the colour looked great on it. A surprising development was that they said one of the 3 layer paint whites, think it was Bianco Fuji, looked absolutely stunning on it, but they didn’t want to go down the Lambo Launch Road and launch in white. Probably why they settled on Argento instead. I’m still not a fan of its looks, but will say it definitely looks miles better than the Launch Photos/Videos. Bianco Fuji/Bianco Italia could look great on it.
Late to party in terms of this thread, but on the basis of the videos/pics I have seen a few times now agree 100% with previous posters reservations on the looks of the car. It will no doubt have road presence, and of course will be technically brilliant but looks, size, price as new all mean its of no interest to me.
The modern Ferrari design language really has went downhill and to me lost a lot of its appeal. There is a clear (and it's not positive!) distinction from the pininfarina cars to the colder, more angular, more awkward looking, less cohesive and to me eyes lets be honest simply plain uglier cars of the in house design.
This can be seen very well on the F8, the bling-tastic Purosangue, but also to perhaps lesser degree even on things like the Roma.
I'm not automatically against anything that is in house design just for nostalgic reasons (I think the Portofino is beautiful for e.g. and underrated) and there were of course some marmite cars of the older designs e.g. 612 and maybe FF although I personally am a fan.
IMO the 458 Italia and F12 were the sweet spot and pinnacle in terms of the standard production (to me) attainable modern Ferrari cars.
Stunning in every way, with the wow factor but also classically beautiful and elegant enough to still look as good and modern as they do today. Performance on both also again just right, ridiculously quick and more than enough to have fun/scare a passenger but not to the stupid hyper car numbers of today..
Already a very happy 458 Italia owner that will hopefully be a long term keeper as that car is just that good, looking to add an F12 in the future.
If someone today gave me the option of an F12 for circa 160-170k, or the 12cilindri at the same price I can say without any hesitation whatsoever I am driving away in the F12!!
Might sound crazy or controversial but is my honest opinion..

My 16M was bianco fuji and it is a stunning colour. This or rosso fuoco would be my choice. DeejRC said:

The F12 is simply much better proportioned than its fat suit descendants. And still packs 700+HP. Once you are at those numbers whether it starts with a 7,8 or 9 really doesn’t matter.

imo the styling on the new car is really nice which is vital because as you say the performance has become basically pointless now imo
