Anyone getting the ‘check electric’ warning come on after charging? Doesn’t seem to affect charging.. cba to frame it to Honda frown
Yep, had it a few times now. Seems to clear after turning off and waiting a minute

Likewise, can't be arsed to take it to Honda as it doesn't seem to affect anything.

Anyone else getting excessive data usage from the MyHonda+ app? 2.7GB is less than a month is a lot!

Well, that stirred me to check mine. My Honda+ 10.57 GB in the same dates. eek I'm on Virgin B/band with no limit at home but that is ridiculous. The next heaviest one is BBC Sounds at 3.6 GB with me frequently streaming radio outside.

ETA: I've done a Force Stop, it seems it runs continuously once you run it. It's not as if it's even accurate. Mine often says the car is unlocked when it isn't, and displays the wrong charging status. frown

Yes, this seems to happen most times after charging for us. Even a couple of weeks ago when we just charged for an hour before going out. Whole list of errors on the dash, which clears after turning off and on.

Assume it's a software issue affecting the 12v system. Might contact Honda to see if there's a software update otherwise will just live with it until the first service.

Once the high voltage battery is activated I assume it starts charging the 12v, hence why the errors clear.

Hello

I am after a eNY1. I was wondering if all these deals are PCP rather than lease deals? And are any dealers still doing it?

Just saw Honda UK April registration figures - down 34% on Apr 23 at just 1,530 cars.

I wondered if the e:Ny1 deal may have affected March - no breakdown by model, but the overall March number was huge (for Honda UK) - 7,919 cars, 66% up on Apr 23.

Unless they have another blow-out e:Ny1 deal, they're probably only going to do around 30K cars this year, so more that a quarter of them were registered in April.

I hope they do another offer, I’ve got my dad (and others) chomping at the bit to get hold of one like I did.

Looking at those numbers - if we assume that the spike in March was mainly due to the e:Ny1 offer, and we assume that they do indeed do 30k cars this year, they have probably hit their 22% ZEV target just through the Q1 offer. That suggests no repeat until next year.

Yes - they'll probably do enough with Motability "sales" to be safely over 22%, it's on a pretty amazing deal through that scheme.

Am averaging 3.9 per KW, weirdly the car seems to get more efficient on longer motorway journeys, than just local trips in London!

What are other owners averaging?

I was averaging 3.5 m / kWh for the first 1000 miles, but since my last trip reset, have managed 3.7 m / kWh. This does involve swift use of the regen paddles and only braking if necessary. It becomes such a habit that in my other cars, I find myself reaching for a non-existent regen paddle when a car in front brakes or I approach a roundabout. rolleyessmile Also helps that I don't need the heater so much.

I note that it disengages at about 6 mph (10 km/h presumably) so one pedal driving is not possible.

Honda only sold 25k car in 2023 so it seems they are up a bit. Fiat only selling 16k is a surprise to me:

I've done around 1500 miles in mine (or the mrs has done !)

Not reset the KWh since new and my average is 3.2

She likes it, me not so much still and I doubt that will ever change

One thing I did notice last week when it was hot weather, when using the A/C it only took 5 miles away from range, this week just using A/C to demist windows is taking 50+ miles away from range !!! What gives

Still not washed it either, think I'll go for the full 2 years without a clean

ENY1 & Solar Panel Charging

Hi folks, this may be helpful for a small group, didn't see it posted before.

I have 5.8kw solar and Zappi charger which balances load when there is a surplus. The ENY1 has an annoying habit of accepting a charge at first but, if the surplus disappears, the car will tell the charger that it is full.

In other words you only get one charging period per day. And if the surplus load drops below 1.4kw that's it.

There is a workaround which is to leave the ignition on all day. Not ideal as it draws power for the lights plus of course anyone could pinch the car as the keys are inside and it's unlocked! But at least it will take a charge all day through periods of surplus and no surplus.

Strange behaviour and probably a software issue. Had it to Honda and no fault found!

Saw one of these this morning, and it got me wondering. How long are your cheap leases, are they 3 years? Just wanting to make a mental note for when they will all come on to the second hand market, they might be decent bargains!

Most people took 2 years, I got 3 for a little more a month.

I'm surprised you can turn the ignition on while the car is connected. What stops you driving off with it plugged in?

You can leave the ignition but walk away with the fob. It gives a few beeps to warn you but the car would then presumably not go? If the lead i plugged in, there's a big orange lamp on the display, I'd presume (again) it wouldn't let you??

The first very cheap 2 year deals at £179 p.m. were at Brindley Honda in the West Midlands. I had mine on a 3 yr. deal from North Way Honda and I'm sure several others did it too at £199 for black ones or a bit more for another colour (I got white for £210)

There are over 70 used ones on A/T and there's a 24 reg one with 1k miles on it at Yeomans Honda in Guildford for £30k. If you don't mind a 2024 car that's 73 reg, there are Elegance models at dealers for under £29k. Shows you the balloon (GFV) after 3 years is fanciful at £26,100. Prices were dropped £5k in April too so the base Avantage model is £39,999 and there are discounts available, not what they were in March, yet....
