Ah nice, was it fairly simple to do? Debating about getting RTA to fit it (and upgrade rear cam) at same time but it's pretty pricey all in.
It's not difficult to do really and Reece at RTA was helpful responding when I had questions, but if you aren't far from him to get it all done (I think the rear cam stuff would be more involved) it could be worthwhile.

Hey! I’m in the same boat as you when you originally posted, although prices maybe dropped a tiny bit since then. Wondered how you’re getting on nearly a year on with the costs? Any issues cropped up? I’d be looking at doing MAX 5k a year in it. Also ran a E92 V8 for 4 years so use to the fuel, tyres, tax and insurance 🤪

I’m 1 year in now and apart from a coolant tank leak (£45) it’s been 100% reliable.

Spent a bit on an exhaust and a gearbox service (done myself) but apart from that it’s just been tax /ins and fuel.

The market has definitely changed but I still think the good ones are still worth very close to what I paid. There’s some cheap ones out there but not sure I’d go that route.

Excellent to hear it's been reliable and you've still got it. I'm almost a year into 996.2 ownership but a V8 R8 could be next on the list if I decide to replace it.
