Interesting in the Tavarish video he made a joke about not working and being on a tourist visa. Wonder how the reverse of that would play out with US tax authorities. I like both of their content.
Really? Who cares?
My sister was held at US immigration for 6 hrs and placed on restricted future visiting conditions due to a suspicion of working on a tourist visa. As said I like both these peoples channels but there are government bodies on both sides whose job it is to care.
"I'm filming my life" and the only work thats happening is the editing of the video which is done by my guys at home...

Be easier to buy another one and TT that.

I get that's not the point but it seems like he does actually drive them hard whereas I get the impression Tavarish never drives his TT Gallardo. I don't think I'd fully trust a very bent chassis after I'd already had a Final Destination moment in it.

I'm of a very different mindset, if the chassis has been measured, repaired where necessary and signed off by an engineering firm - I'd treat it like any other car. It's like when people get their car nicked and say it "feels tainted" or whatever. I don't get it, just give it a clean and enjoy having the car back.

Sooo Tavarish is fixing the parts car with another parts car... I like it! I guess the flooded car was not available when Mat was looking for one.
It is a shame it was not available, flood damage plus blown engine means parts car only.

Would be interesting to know what Freddie paid for it.

My guess is Freddie didn’t pay for it, he donates the third car, Mat donates Sue and they split the profit/loss depending how it’s ‘given’ away. Regardless they’re both going to be quids in on content.

With this second parts car coming into play it got me wondering if they’d do practical things such as swapping the boot lid from the third car onto Mats. His will need paint regardless, so Tavarish’s may as well have its old one back on to save painting both.

It’ll be interesting to see if it makes shedfest this weekend, a short timeframe but I reckon they’ll make it work.

I did actually think the same, would also make sense to switch the door over as well.

Tavarish rebuilding Sue smacks of jumping the shark to me.

This video from Tavarish really emphasises just how much difference the quality & likeability of the presenter makes to the watchability of the video.

I can watch pretty much anything from Mat, but this new one from Freddie just doesn't do it for me at all. I've managed 20 mins so far and it was hard work.

Don'\t get me wrong, i've watched plenty of Freddie's content, but this one didn't 'hit the spot' at all IMO.

I have watched loads of Mat’s videos on YouTube but none of the content from Tavarish yet, so I’ve now subscribed to his channel and will watch some over the next few days.

Yes, it all seems well planned out behind the scenes even though the premise was 'I bought Mat's RR to repair'.

100% this was all planned. I mean as if he expected to rock up 5000 miles and just buy the parts to fix Sue (in a week!). Also why he was researching parts in America was a weird thing and made me think it was all suss.

Don’t get me wrong I enjoyed the whole video and I’m looking forward to the next, but I just wish people would be more honest in them. We’re gonna watch it regardless so no point in making up st really

Totally agree, it makes you question the rest of the content sometimes when you see st like that.

I agree and I like Tavarish.

The voiceover work and editing is much better on Mats videos.

The first thing he said when he was looking at the parts was that he couldn't find anything for sale in the UK hence the reason he was looking for doors in the US

My point was that he has a week, so why go looking for parts in the US when they’re never gonna arrive in time. It just goes more into the ‘why lie and make st up’ story

Perhaps Mat's hedged his investment by getting Freddie to put some cash into the project on the basis that they both get content, and they both get cross-pollination of audience for this and future videos.

The amount of fault picking in here is unbelievable. He clearly stated there were no parts available in the UK and was showing the parts in the US to give an idea of the huge costs of used parts when they are available. All done to justify buying the parts car. He never pretended that buying parts in America was an option.

Funny how searching ‘Wraith door’ on eBay returns quite a few in the UK. Maybe they’ve only just become available.

Flying spares have parts available for a Wraith but with so many parts needed, donor car is the only way to fix.
