Yeah the OP's lack of budget doesn't help. At 5k+ the yeti. At 10k+ the mini.

But also the dimension of the car and boot size are vague!

The simple answer to the OP's question is that there isn't one. Nothing mentioned yet meets all the criteria, so will need to compromise somewhere.

Suzuki sx4/Fiat Sedici 1.9jtd or 2.0ddis should remap to 190bhp.

4x4, small, estate-esque hatchback.

Indeed. The newer Suzuki S-Cross isn't that big either and can be had with the same 1.4 petrol turbo as the well regarded Swift Sport.

(Also the current Vitara is pretty small for an SUV)

Edit to Add: Both Suzukis are light so a chipped 170bhp from the boosterjet engine should give half decent performance.

The WRX Wagon from memory is pretty small especially compared to more modern cars. I remember it feeling very narrow especially.

OP might be worth reconsidering and checking it out in person if you haven’t already smile

Is a Golf R estate big? I always think of them as pretty small cars.

The first gen BMW X1 (E84) is only about 20cm longer than the Fabia and came with a choice of 3.0 diesel or petrol engines...
AFAIK the 3.0 model weren't sold in the UK, so the handful that are for sale are petrol imports from Japan.
