I have two.

Bough knew, the one with the rubber strap was under £90! I upgraded a few years later adding a metal bracelet for £65.

Cool. That was my first degree graduation present to myself. Plastic strap with a total lume face - could only afford the plastic strap.

It was THE watch to have on a design degree if you were a rich kid... I wasn't but watch envy and graduation + summer job made it mine.

Felt like a lot of money back in 93,but probably only 200 quid...???

Looks like they've taken the Swatch approach. Probably a good idea, the moonswatches are selling in droves, and the sistem 51 models are doing well.

Can't say I'm a fan though, but then I'm neither cool nor down with the kids etc.

Conflicted about these.

Love the idea, everyone loves a bit of nostalgia, but the execution seems a bit off to me.

- Why the Kith collab confused
- Could they have made them a bit bigger, without losing the nostalgia?
- Very pricey
- Limited

Couldn’t you just get an original TAG one and make it mint, for less?

I know I'm not 'into' watches, but they don't half look like a child's toy watch.

Nostalgia is a great excuse for naff sometimes.

In my humble opinion, of course!

The originals weren't quite as Tomy My First... looking. Closer to the top left in the link picture.

Very much of their time and haven't aged well IMO.. But nostalgia sells.

Like many the original was the first 'expensive' watch I bought, and the start of a slippery slope.
Was expecting these to be enlarged by a percentage from the original to match current fashion, and £1350 is punchy especially for the rubber strap options, if they had been a bit bigger and half that price I might have been tempted, having a more modern TAG F1 and recently popping the back off for a battery change and being woefully disappointed by the movement inside I'd say the pricepoint is well off, but I'd say that of any quartz TAG. frown
My Original bought back in 1993 as a birthday present to myself was the Full Lume black bezel model on the steel bracelet with an extra red rubber strap, all in for £180 rotate
It was well worn, although mainly on the bracelet, has had a few repairs and when I put it on now it seems tiny but now it's 'cool' again I might pop it back into rotation. smile

I've still got my original one from back in the 90's.. Green bezel and jubilee bracelet just like the 'Paris' reissue. Tried it on last night after seeing this and it looks tiny on me these days. My wife's still got the even smaller 28mm one.

As above I would be tempted if they were a bit cheaper and closer to 40mm as I like the styling, especially on the bracelet models.

I like the look of the metal ones, but overall am a bit disappointed in these. I'd like to see them 37mm+ and not limited, the price doesn't really bother me, although it's strange to perhaps appear to rival the MoonSwatches, but be so much more expensive?

There's a rumour this is just the start and a non-limted/non-collab version will be coming out further down the line...

When TAG took over Heuer, the styling went downhill. Their models from the 90s and early 2000s are so freaking ugly, just like this F1.

I've got the all stainless one with full luminous face and black bezel.
Not worn for many years and feels tiny compared to modern watches.

The bezel on mine now spins in either direction and my Dad put a big scratch across the back attempting to replace the battery with a screwdriver many years ago.
Will be around 32 yrs old now, think it cost about £185 if my memory is correct.

Holy smokes, just checked the price. Assumed they were sub £500 but they're nearly triple that.

All of this.

Who is Kith and why should we care? I just googled it, and it seems Kith make odd looking clothing for people who are:

Lumberjacks.
Hipsters.
Or the sort of men who own independent coffee shops in Shoreditch.

Would much rather have TAG on the branding than Kith, as I assume would everyone.

The size is way too small for today. They could have scaled it to 39-40mm, kept the look and made it much more wearable. I actually bought a 35mm F1 out of nostalgia, about 5 years ago, and then sold it again as it honestly looked ridiculous on my wrist. Looked like I was wearing a kids watch.

I love the OG F1, they look great, but the size just doesn't work for an adult these days.

The price is also completely nuts.

I have no doubt they will sell plenty of them, but I just do not understand this collaboration in the slightest, whereas I fully understood the MoonSwatch and Blancpain x Swatch, and clearly so did everyone else judging by the sales figures.

Weird.

A quick look on eBay and a very good condition original is worth about £300 and already the flippers are trying to double there money on the Kith ones. hehe
Like below, never heard of Kith and a quick look on the website it appears I'm not missing much, seem to be selling £5 charity shop t-shirts for £300+ hehe
