Anyone know how these beauties ended up on sale at a UK garage?

20 available!

I thought DFSK withdrew from the UK market years ago after the micro van had run its course?

Forgot to add I’m tempted at the price, especially if the PCP is possible and competitive

Big question around parts even servicing parts and need to get an insurance quote

Will be worth £2k max in 4-5 years unless DFSK re-establish themselves in the UK

Its almost as badly named as the Mitsubishi Carisma laugh

Having said that, £15k for a new car is pretty decent vfm, guess it compares to pre-reg duster

Blimey! Are they Chinese and what's with the weird number plates? Northern Irish perhaps?

My mate had one of these DFSK vans

https://www.autotrader.co.uk/van-details/202405139...

He loved it and it was the perfect van for his business in London, he had 3 of them at one point.

But all 3 had constant head gasket issues!

Dealer wasn’t really a dealer more of an independent garage with an DFSK logo on the pitch where useless and the importer on behalf of DFSK didn’t help much.
He got rid of them which he was gutted about as they were ideal size for the city but the importer and the cowboy dealer upset him too much.

They still sell new DFSK vans on autotrader, presume someone is still importing them?
No UK website

At 15k brand new I'm sure some people will take a punt.

Am I the only person tempted to get one of these?

The main thing putting me of is parts, I work for a motor factors and we can’t get very many for it!

The only part our wholesalers could get was brake pads.

No idea what you would do if you had a component go wrong?
Surely there must be a supplier who specialises in Chinese motors who can help?
I am going to have another check on Friday afternoon to see if I can get anywhere with parts.

I wonder where these particular ones are made? Apparently, the model is assembled in Pakistan from knock-down kits (which could explain the right-hand drive availability): https://dfskPakistan.com/glory-580-1-5-cvt-turbo/

A brave buy, given parts availability, short warranty, potential insurance problems, etc.

You'd have to be mad considering you can buy a brand new MG ZS with an extensive dealer network and a 7 year warranty!

Well if you can't source a part from the UK importers you will have to source your own.

The hassle and cost and time of getting parts shipped from China (?) could be a right problem.

I've had a customer scrap a Daihatsu Charade because we couldn't get hold of a simple bottom ball joint, and that's something comparatively mainstream.

I know people get jolly upset if you mention used cars when somebody is talking about buyjng new, but IMO you'd have to be off your rocker to choose one of these over something like an approved used Duster at the same price.

For anyone (no one) looking at getting one of these, I have really struggled to find a parts supplier

However this firm can get serviceable parts and a few other bits
https://dfskparts.com/search?q=GLORY

I have decided to leave it, it’s just not cheap enough for the hassle of ownership

My local Nissan dealer has a 3 year old Qashqai with 30k miles on it for £16k which seems a much better option for anyone who is not some sociopath who cannot be seen in anything other than a brand new motorcar.

If they hit £10k then I am a buyer, I might actually buy 2!
