Noticed the other day that the ns roof hoop bolt is loose. Tried tightening up and it just turns, seems fairly secure but isn't tightening.
Are these meant to be like this, is there a locking nut on the other side to allow the hoop to move?

If you "feel around" the carpet bit lower down towards seat belt mounting you should find an opening to get your hand (and a 13mm spanner) in to hold the nut on the other end of that bolt.
Lots of rough fibreglass, beware !

Its a nut inside the body which must be tight enough but not too tight

You need to get access by renoving carpet behind the door and shove your hand up 13mm ring spanner BUT watch out for sharp bit of fibreglass - can cut you to shreds.

Just double check first, I thought I had a slack nut/bolt but my targa hoop was broken

Thanks for the quick replies thumbup

Have just had the roof panels off and checked the other side which is the same. More pronounced with the stays down. Seeing the nyloc in the pictures suggests it's meant to move. quite a bit of movement round the bolt though. Guess it could be to allow a bit of give when opening/closing or could just be a bit of wear.
